π¦οΈβοΈ This Week's Learning: Exploring the Weather! βοΈπ¦οΈ
Our children have had a fantastic week learning all about different types of weather through fun, hands-on activities!
π¨ We made colourful kites and took them outside to discover how the wind helps them fly, encouraging curiosity and exploration.
π§ The children enjoyed sensory ice play, observing how ice feels, melts, and changes as it warms up, sparking lots of wonderful discussions about temperature.
βοΈ With the recent hot weather, we also talked about the importance of sun safety. The children learned why it's important to wear hats, apply sun cream, drink plenty of water, and stay in the shade to keep themselves safe.
π§οΈ Our budding scientists completed a fascinating rain cloud experiment, creating fluffy clouds with shaving foam and using food colouring to represent rain falling through the clouds. It was a brilliant way to explore how rain is formed while developing prediction and observation skills.
Learning through play helps children develop their understanding of the world around them, and we've loved seeing their excitement, curiosity, and enthusiasm throughout the week. We can't wait for more adventures next week! π

π Kindness in action π
Our preschool children have been showing what it means to be caring role models! After eagerly helping our team at breakfast this morning, they asked if they could help again at afternoon snack timeβand of course we said yes! π₯°
It was so lovely to see our older children supporting our younger babies, helping them at snack time with such patience, kindness, and encouragement. These beautiful moments of older peers caring for younger friends help build confidence, empathy, and a wonderful sense of community within our nursery.
We are so proud of our preschoolers for leading by example and showing that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big difference. ππ

π Front row seats at the pantomime! π
Our childrenβs imaginations took centre stage today as they created and performed their very own show. Featuring a wedding, a wicked witch, ballet dancers, and even a castle, the performance had everything!
Guests were warmly welcomed with a cheerful βLadies and Gentlemen,β before taking their seats and enjoying some popcorn as the show began. πΏβ¨
It was wonderful to see the children confidently sharing their ideas, working together, and bringing their creative stories to life. A truly magical performance from our talented little stars! βοΈ
