"That's a wrap for this term. It's been an emotional week as we say a fond farewell to our not-so-little cohort who are leaving us to join reception in September. We hope you all have a wonderful summer full of amazing memories!" β€οΈ π

We have reached the end of our very busy term 6, and we've had so much fun along the way! At the start of the term, we continued our art study by introducing the children to the life and works of the celebrated artist Henri Matisse. Our study of 'Matisse's Snail' aimed to help the children learn about different artists and their unique approaches to art. Additionally, we celebrated World Ocean Day by bringing a little bit of the ocean to the nursery. We filled trays with different types of seaweed and the children enjoyed exploring the seaweed through sight, touch, and smell, and they even found tiny little creatures buried within. We also invited our special men into the nursery for a fun-filled stay and play session to celebrate Father's Day, as well as a lovely stay and play afternoon the following week for all our family members. We've also had lots of transition visits to our new reception classrooms this term, meeting our new teachers, and to end the term we put on a tearful graduation performance for all our families to mark the end of our time together as pre-schoolers. The children have all grown so much this past year, and we are all so very proud of them here at Oreston Nursery π₯°. We can't wait to see them continue to shine as they move up into their new schools/classes xx
