🔧⛵ Phoebe has had a serious upgrade!

Our training yacht Phoebe is back together and ready for a busy autumn of sailing courses after having a brand-new engine and saildrive fitted and supplied with the help of Darthaven Marina

It’s been a proper team effort getting her there. We removed the old engine and saildrive, thoroughly cleaned and prepped the engine bay, installed new noise-reducing insulation, and then fitted the new engine and saildrive.

While we were at it, we also rebuilt her helm and installed new steering cables, giving the whole setup some much-needed attention - and we did all of this in just 3 days.

And because there’s no point having a shiny new engine in a grubby boat, Phoebe has also had a seriously deep clean and a fresh coat of antifoul ready for some autumn sailing.

Keeping a training vessel working hard takes plenty of effort behind the scenes, but investing in our boats means our students get to train on well-maintained, and reliable equipment.

⚓ SeaRegs is heading to Plymouth Boat Fest 2026!

Join us on Saturday 20th June at Plymouth, Yacht Haven for a fantastic day celebrating all things maritime.

You'll find the SeaRegs team in Zone 4, where we'll be on hand to chat about maritime training, careers at sea, RYA courses, commercial qualifications, and more.

Don't miss our flare demonstration at 10:30am. It's a great opportunity to learn more about an essential safety skill and see it demonstrated by experienced maritime professionals.

Following a hugely successful first event in 2025, Plymouth Boat Fest returns bigger and better for 2026, bringing together the boating community, marine businesses and industry experts for a day of hands-on activities, displays, and entertainment.

With this lovely weather we've had recently, we're looking forward to plenty of Sailing over the summer! Why not join us for a Saturday Sail and get out on the water? The Saturday Sail is for everyone, from complete novices to experienced sailors. This can be used for an ICC test, to build on existing skills or even just to get used to your sea legs!

Our training courses offer essential training to become familiar with driving, mooring, navigation and boat safety. It's Cloud Appreciation Day!

Looking at the sky and using the clouds as a tool for any navigator is a vital skill. Understanding how the shape and movement of clouds will help predict changes in weather conditions, and in turn help when planning safe voyages.
