🧸 We’re also collecting good quality teddy donations for our hugely popular Adopt a Teddy stall — donations can be dropped into the school office.

🙌 And finally… we cannot run events like this without support on the day. If you can spare some time to help with set up, running a stall, marshalling or packing away, even for a couple of hours, we’d really appreciate it.

We’re looking for volunteers to help make our Colour Run a success.

If you can spare even a couple of hours to help with set-up, running a stall, or supporting during the event, it would make a real difference. Every bit of time helps and we really appreciate any support you can offer.

The sign-up form lets you choose what you’re able to help with, so you can pick a role and time that suits you.

Please feel free to share the link with friends and family, or with older children who have left the school and may still want to get involved and support us.

Here are the FAQs to support our Colour Run event and answer some of the questions we’ve received so far 🌈

One question that has come up a few times is whether Wave 1 is bubble only — this is no longer the case. Due to no interest in the bubble-only option, all colour run waves now include colour powder, so whichever wave you book you’ll get the full Colour Run experience!

We’re collecting cuddly toys for our ever-popular Adopt a Teddy stall at the Colour Run.

If you have any good quality, pre-loved teddies at home, please send them into the school office.

Every teddy donated helps us raise funds for the PTFA and adds to the fun on the day. Thank you for your support.

This year our Colour Run is replacing the Summer Fair, so expect a similar fun family atmosphere with:

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to our Bags2School collection.

The response has been incredible, and we’re genuinely grateful for the time and effort so many families took to clear out wardrobes and drop off their bags. It all adds up to a real difference for the school.

We’re now in the process of confirming the total weight and final payment with Bags2School, and we’ll share the results as soon as we have them.

Details of clubs running this Summer

Hello everyone

We are Susannah and Rachael. St Matthews new PTFA Co-Chairs. Thank you to everyone who attended the EGM and gave us your vote. We each have 3 children in school (Mini Matts to year 5) so incredibly keen to support St Matthews and the wider community.

We would like to thank the previous Co-Chairs for their time, efforts and energy over the years they held the reins. They will forever be the Co-Chairs who bought the circus to school.

We are very excited to announce this year’s main Summer event, a Colour Run on Saturday 11th July, something a bit different to the previous summer fayres. Many of you have already seen the posters and tickets are selling fast.

The Colour Run is your chance to have fun, run, walk, hop, skip and dance around the school field whilst getting covered in powder paints. Plus enjoy some refreshments from the tuck shop, fish & chip and pizza vans plus cookies and ice cream.

Gates open at 12 noon and there will be 6 runs each lasting 20 mins through out the afternoon. You can complete the course as many times as you like within your booked time slot. The course will be suitable for children and adults of all ages and abilities. We look forward to welcoming everyone!

All proceeds from this event will go towards the purchase of brand new chromebooks given by the PTFA to the school for the children to use. With a target of £15,000 to raise every ticket purchased helps.
