The University of Plymouth Business Society is aiming to enhance the development of the society member’s career prospects while enriching their university experience. We do this by running regular social events, workshops, networking trips and providing volunteering opportunities. UPBS also have our very own Netball and Football team both in the intermural league for both non and competitive playe
rs that wish to play amongst their cohort. Socials
Our aim is to host fortnightly socials, of both themed parties, casual meals and activity days. We have previously brought our members to the Eden Project, Go Ape, bowling trips and hope to do so throughout this year to. Events
Networking opportunities: This year we plan to join up with all 13 other business related societies, all whom will be providing professional representatives from their industries to host a very large cheese and wine networking event, so students can explore all the options and educate themselves on the different sectors of Busness while having a laugh. Development workshops – We ask what our members feel they need improving on and working together with the Faculty of Business, PU Careers team and our partnership with PwC try to deliver what we can. Large social events – Last year we hosted a Christmas Party to celebrate the end of the first semester which was a great success! Followed by our annual Summer Ball (1920s Theme) in conjunction with the Business School. Our Summer ball to celebrate the year end is already in the planning for for 25th May 2018! Social Media
