As well as working as a private tutor from home, I also work in a school setting and ensure all my training is up to date. Today I have completed my yearly Data Protection training.

👩🏻‍💻 Summer term is very busy in schools and tailored 1:1 tuition sessions will help pupils prepare giving them the confidence to succeed.

The first part of Spring Term is zooming by and we are almost half-way through!

I have welcomed new pupils and enjoyed catching up with regulars.

We have also welcomed a new member of the family who has loved meeting all the pupils so far this week…. Even if she has been doing a lot of sleeping on the job!

Another storm may be on its way but it is all cosy in the Moor to Sea Tuition room. My pupils have been decorating the tree and getting a treat from the advent calendar 🎁

Regular term time sessions for Autumn Term 2 begin this morning.

We had a busy October with a variety of themed reading from early phonics to KS3.

This week, students will be exploring Phillip Pullman’s The Firework Maker’s Daughter and the history of firework night which will use words such as guard, soldier, government, parliament from the KS2 Statutory Word lists.

🍂The Autumn Term has got off to a great start.

This half of term, several pupils have read Don’t Hog the Hedge and learned about alliteration and onomatopoeia. In spelling, we have explored single and double consonants among many others rules. Number bonds have been a big focus to develop fluency skills. All maths pupils have continued with Times Tables through ball games, matching, loop cards and picture making alongside quizzes and tests.
