In 2016, I left my job as a classroom teacher after a decade of teaching across all ages in several Plymouth Primary schools. I had co-ordinated PE for many years, led two Junior Ten Tors and most recently been a Deputy Head and Moderator for the Local Education Authority. Today I had my last regular sessions of the school year…..
Summer sessions will start on Friday though!
As we reach the end of the academic year, some pupils have already completed their summer‑term tuition, while others are still finishing up. It has been another wonderful year at Moor to Sea, full of new faces and heartfelt goodbyes to families who have been with me since the very beginning.
Working with your children continues to be a real privilege. Watching their confidence grow week by week—whether they joined recently or have been part of Moor to Sea for several years—has been inspiring. Each pupil brings their own spark, curiosity, and determination, and I am incredibly proud of the progress they have made and the resilience they have shown.
Thank you for your ongoing support, encouragement, and trust. The partnership between home and tuition makes such a meaningful difference, and I am truly grateful for the communication, commitment, and positivity you bring.
I will be working throughout the summer holidays, while also enjoying some much‑needed family time before my own little one starts reception in the autumn. If you would like to book summer sessions, I am very happy to share my available times.

Well done to all my Year 6s who worked so hard during their SATs tests last week. I am so proud of you all.
With the end of SATs, I have begun to say goodbye to some brilliant pupils and families. Many I have tutored from Year 1, Foundation and even Pre-school, with their older siblings before them!
I’d like to thank these families for their support over the years. It has been a privilege to see my students grow in confidence and become ready for secondary school. I wish you all the very best of luck and success on your new adventures. Stay in touch!

As well as working as a private tutor from home, I also work in a school setting and ensure all my training is up to date. Today I have completed my yearly Data Protection training.
