🖍️ Big movements, big learning! 🖍️
Today we’ve been exploring mark making on a large scale, giving us lots of opportunities to reach, stretch, move our arms and work across a bigger surface.
But did you know that before children can confidently hold and control a pencil or other mark-making tool, they first need to develop the larger muscles in their bodies? 💪
Our core, shoulders and arms all play an important part in developing the strength, stability and coordination needed for later writing skills.
So when we’re making big marks, reaching up high, stretching across the paper and moving our whole bodies, we’re not just having fun — we’re building the foundations for writing too! ✏️✨
