Flameworks | Artist Studios & Art Exhibitions | Not for Profit, Community Interest Company. Associate membership starts at Β£30 per year.

Flameworks Artist Studios is a community of professional artists ranging from painters and illustrators to blacksmiths and sculptors. Associate members benefit from being able to hire specialist equipment such as forges, pottery wheels, kilns and lampworking torches for metalwork, glass, ceramics and jewellery making. Art Exhibitions are curated biannually for artists and associate members.

Meet Zoe Clare, ✨

Inspired by botanical forms, Zoe creates striking ceramic sculptures for both indoor and outdoor spaces.

Studying the growth patterns and movement of flora, Zoe imagines new organic forms shaped by interactions with other species and the world around them. Through a meticulous coiling process, she creates intricate sculptural vessels with richly textured exteriors that contrast beautifully with vibrant glazed interiors.

Meet Tobias Davies, ✨

Tobias creates borosilicate glass jewellery and objects that capture light, colour and movement.

Using traditional lampworking techniques, he incorporates flecks of precious metals such as gold and silver into the glass, creating unique, ethereal patterns within each piece. Alongside his jewellery, Tobias also produces drinking vessels and decorative glassware.

Meet Dana Aala ✨

Dana's multidisciplinary practice is shaped by her Slovak heritage and experiences of travel, exploring themes of place, identity, community and our relationship with the natural world.

Working across painting, printmaking, ceramics, textiles and photography, she draws inspiration from traditional crafts and disappearing methods, combining these influences with sustainable materials and contemporary perspectives.

Meet Belinda Read, .belinda ✨

Belinda is a sculptural ceramic artist who creates illustrated, narrative-led pieces that explore the complexities of human emotion through a lens of black humour.

Combining hand-building, throwing, embossing and experimental glazing techniques, her work challenges traditional ideas of ceramics while encouraging conversation and reflection on the experiences that connect us.

Meet Jo Westwood, ✨

Since discovering the wonderful world of clay five years ago, Jo has been exploring the possibilities of hand-building, creating vibrant ceramic pieces full of colour, character and playfulness.

Inspired by bold organic forms and a love of colour, her work combines expressive shapes with a rainbow palette, resulting in ceramics that are joyful, distinctive and full of life.

Meet Peter Reeves, ✨

Peter specialises in transforming outdated, unworn and inherited jewellery into beautiful new pieces designed to be worn and enjoyed once again.

With a passion for upcycling precious metals and gemstones, he works closely with clients to reimagine treasured items, creating jewellery that reflects their style while preserving the stories behind the original pieces.

Peter believes that jewellery should be worn, not hidden away in a box, and loves helping to start new stories from old jewellery.
