Well look at this! TikTok sensation and City College Plymouth - Music alumni, Charlie Tyler has put out her first album. She has worked relentlessly since she completed her studies with us and deserves every success!

A surreal moment. Tonight at midnight our self-titled debut album is out on all streaming platforms.🥹💖

It’s been a dream to get to this point and I’m incredibly grateful for the little team around me, pushing me to be better every single day. Working, writing and performing with Russ is a privilege and an honour and I feel unbelievably lucky that we have the support that we do to push this as hard as we can.🥰

The past three years have been so surreal with insane ups and downs but ultimately the feeling of releasing an album makes it all so worth it.🙏🏻

After the success of our Women’s Songwriting Workshops last year, we’re happy to announce this has now been expanded into a 6 week programme starting this March. Lead by ’s Alex Lucy & of course, our very own Lea.

Starting with a masterclass by the diversely talented musician Kat Marsh on March 2nd.

We’re extremely grateful to have received Arts Council Funding for this (!) & are very excited to be holding the space again to encourage & empower more women within the scene.

Earlier this month we learned of the sudden and tragic passing of Abi Eldridge who had been studying music with us at City College Plymouth. We are deeply saddened by this news. Abi was a passionate student and a well-liked person in the local community. Throughout this challenging period, we have been supported by the college’s strong network of counsellors, mental health advisors and pastoral team have been there for any staff and students who may have been affected.
We’d like to express our sadness and extend our deepest condolences to Abi’s friends and family. Abi’s classmates described her as a talented bass player and as a beautiful friend and are currently exploring ways to celebrate her life. Our thoughts are with her family and friends.
