A fantastic ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ themed session!

The girls did brilliantly, warming up their hands by making a play dough caterpillar, recapping letter sounds (phoneme) ‘s’, ‘a’, and ‘t’ before learning the ‘p’ phoneme.

We then shared the story of the Very Hungry Caterpillar and tasting some of the fruit he ate 🍓🍎🍊🍐

These little Read Write Inc. phonics cards are really great to practice with at home if your child is into their letter sounds!

This is the scheme used by the majority of primary schools in Plymouth and I find them really visual and easy to use! 🤩

🧸 counted teddies and made cornflour porridge for them
✂️ practiced our scissor skills
🧃 had a drink and a break whilst looking at stories
🗣️ talked a lot, learnt new language and practiced pronounciation of words

😅 they’ll sleep well tonight! 🥰😴

Hello! I’m Charlotte and I am introducing a fun and hands on tutoring service for children in foundation stage up to year 2!

I will run classes from my cabin in my garden in Stoke Village in small groups of up to five children working on the same goals 🥰

I am an early years and primary trained teacher and have taught for around 10 years.

I have five of my own children, two are currently in Foundation and Year Three so I know what they are learning and what they need to work on.
