What a fantastic lunchtime we had today as we launched the next phase of our Active Lunchtimes initiative!
Children enjoyed a range of exciting activities including giant Jenga, chess, snakes and ladders, Connect Four and skipping ropes. It was wonderful to see so many pupils engaged, active and having fun together.
A huge thank you to our PTFA for generously funding these resources and helping us create even more opportunities for enjoyable and active playtimes.
We were also delighted to see our Year 1 and Year 2 children taking part in football sessions led by our PE coach, developing their skills, teamwork and love of sport.
It has been wonderful to see the children making the most of these opportunities, building friendships, staying active and enjoying their lunchtimes even more.

This term in Art, Year 5 are exploring the work of Alberto Giacometti, a Swiss artist best known for his tall, thin sculptures of people.
We have had a fantastic afternoon experimenting with sculpture, using foil to practise bending and twisting carefully in order to create different human forms. The children showed great creativity and perseverance as they refined their shapes.
Over the coming weeks, we will build on these skills as we begin to design and plan our own wire sculptures, inspired by Giacometti’s unique style. We are excited to see how these ideas develop and look forward to sharing the finished sculptures with you soon.
