👋Hi, I’m Debbie and I make birth better.
Not by promising a perfect birth.
Not by pretending everything will go exactly to plan.
I make birth better by helping you feel calmer, more informed, more supported, and more in control as you prepare to meet your baby.
As a local hypnobirthing teacher in Plymouth and Devon, I support pregnant mums and their birth partners to:
✨Understand what’s happening in labour
✨Reduce fear and anxiety around birth
✨Feel confident asking questions and making decisions
✨Create a birth experience that feels right for them
✨Work together as a team
Because when you feel prepared, birth can feel less overwhelming and more empowering, whatever path it takes.
If you’re pregnant and hoping for a calm, confident birth experience, you’re in the right place.
Follow Mums Plymouth for more information about how hypnobirthing can help make your pregnancy and birth better. 👶

📖I realised too late that there were birth and labour skills that you just can't learn in a book...
I know so many of you are feeling overwhelmed right now. Maybe you are decorating your new family home before the baby arrives, viewing nurseries, choosing car seats and pram systems, all whilst working full time.
And if that's you - these are all so exciting and important. 🥰
But remember, your birth prep isn't just prams and car seats. It's learning how to feel empowered and in control during one of the most important days in your life.
And it's yours to look forward to if you decide to.
If you can feel your due date approaching but you're feeling overwhelmed and unprepared for birth, no matter how many baby books you read, pop me a DM and lets chat. 💬

😍Feeling excited to have cuddles with my niece who was born via a calm caesarean birth end of last year.
Seeing her has reminded me of my Hypnobirthing sessions with her parents and how they used their tools to navigate their pregnancy and birth journey with confidence.✨

✨Not a pendulum or pocket watch in sight! 😄
Just a few of the tools that help bring my hypnobirthing sessions to life:
✨ Diffuser – to create a calm, relaxing space
📖 Script book – because every session ends with a lovely relaxation
📝 Post-it notes – for thoughts, feelings and tasks
📱 Phone – for capturing special moments between expectant parents
🦴 Pelvis model – for understanding anatomy and physiological birth positions
🍪 Snacks – because I'm usually working with hungry pregnant people!
🎾 Tennis ball – my most useful tool of all! With not one but two uses, when teamed up with a stripy sock it makes a fab uterus model, and it's also a firm favourite for demonstrating massage and comfort techniques for labour.
Hypnobirthing is so much more than relaxation techniques – it's practical, evidence-based birth preparation with plenty of opportunities for questions, discussion and hands-on learning.
