Lots of well-meaning, lovely people leave their pumpkins in parks and woods for the wildlife.
Unfortunately, pumpkin can make some wildlife very sick. Hedgehogs are prepparing to hibernate at this time of year so they will eat as much as they can. When they eat pumpkin, it makes them very very ill and causes diarrhoea, weight loss and dehydration which can be lethal just before hybernation.

Please also check any bonfires for sleeping wildlife such as hedgehogs, before you light them for bonfire night. :)
