🚧 Work will start on 22 June to upgrade the Efford to Crabtree path with improved surfaces, drainage and new lighting.
🚶 Funded by the Active Travel Fund, it’ll make walking, wheeling and cycling safer and easier for everyone.
🌳We're also advertising a proposal to name the pathway Brian Vincent Way after the former councillor for Efford and Lipson, who sadly passed away in 2023.

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week and the theme is Take Action 💚
At Wheels for All, we see every day how taking action — whether that’s getting outdoors, trying something new, or connecting with others — can have a huge impact on mental wellbeing.
Earlier this year, we shared Nolan’s story, which was a fantastic reminder that cycling doesn’t just support physical health, but mental health too. Through inclusive cycling, Nolan shared with us that he found confidence, enjoyment and a positive outlet that supports his wellbeing as well as keeping him active 🚲
Stories like Nolan’s are why we believe everyone should have the opportunity to experience the joy and freedom of cycling.
This week, why not take action for your mental health, no matter how big or small that step may be 💚

“We replaced our car with a cargo bike and have never looked back"

⛽️ Rising fuel costs are changing how people travel across the UK. New YouGov research for Cycling UK shows 28% of drivers are already walking or cycling more instead of driving, with another 15% considering making the switch.
Walking and cycling beat public transport, car sharing or cutting back elsewhere when it came to choices about how to travel. But the impact far beyond this. Over a quarter of drivers say they are going out less to save money, increasing the risk of isolation.
The data also shows women are more likely to be cutting back on everyday trips, while facing greater barriers to getting on a bike. This highlights the urgent need for safer streets and better access to cycling for everyone 🚲
