A question for home educating families
I'm exploring adding small-group and 1:1 English support built specifically around home ed families โ KS3 through GCSE, fully online, flexible around how your family already learns. Locally in-person available as well.
Nothing's fixed yet โ I'd genuinely like to hear from a few families first about what would actually help: which year group, which exam board (if any matters to you), what times work.
I already tutor several Home Ed students, but would like to explore further how I can help.
If that's you, drop me a message โ no commitment, just a conversation. Get in touch via WhatsApp ๐๐๐๐คฉ

A few 1:1 slots just opened up
A handful of bespoke 1:1 English sessions โ available next week and the week of 1st September. ยฃ40 per session, fully tailored to what's actually useful right now.
Open to anyone โ current Easy Peasy student or not, any year group, any exam board. Whether that's working through something after Results Day, getting ahead before term starts, or just a specific text or skill that's been nagging at you.
One thing I'll need from you: when you book, drop a line on what you'd like the session to focus on โ that's all I need to plan it properly.

What actually is the November resit?
Quick explainer for anyone who's asked: the November sitting is Edexcel English Language 2.0 only (not Literature) โ roughly half the content of the summer exam. In Plymouth terms, this applies to soon to be City College students.
6โ8 weeks of focused prep is realistic if you start straight after Results Day.
Small groups, max 6, evenings, ยฃ25/session.

Results Day is a week on Thursday.
A week on Thursday is GCSE Results Day โ 10 days from today. Whatever the outcome, there are options.
If English doesn't go to plan, the November resit route is ready to go the moment you want to talk about it.
Regarding AQA September groups for soon to be year 11s: only a few spaces left before term starts.

Results Day lands in under two weeks.
13 days from today, GCSE results land.
If it's not the grade hoped for, it isn't the end of the road. The November Edexcel Eng Lang 2.0 resit is the next sitting โ small groups, max 6, evenings, ยฃ25/session.
Worth starting to think about it now, rather than a scramble once results are out.

Two different Augusts happening under one roof
If you've got a Year 10 heading into Year 11 โ September groups are filling, four-ish weeks to go.
If you've got someone waiting on results in two weeks and weighing up a resit โ the November Edexcel English Language 2.0 cohort opens straight after Results Day.
Worth knowing now rather than finding out on the day.

Parents โ three things you can actually do tonight:
โ Read together, out loud โ yes, even at 15 or 16, it still works.
โ Ask one question afterwards: "What's the writer really trying to make you feel?"
โ Don't quiz on quotes. It's the fastest way to kill a love of the text.
Small, doable, and it's exactly the kind of steady work September groups are built around.
