We want to take a moment to celebrate our Fotonow Unlocked Group and all that they achieved in 2022!
From creating articles for Aprilโs edition of The Stonehouse Voice, to reporting on Plymouth and Devon Racial Equality Council's Plymouth Respect Festival in July, through to interviewing photographers and presenting awards at the Plymouth Young Photographer of The Year event in December, the group have put their media and journalistic skills to fantastic use!
This group are now embarking on their Gold Arts Award with us, exciting times ahead!
Our next intake for Fotonow Unlocked will be in Spring/Summer โ23 To register your interest and find out more just drop us a quick hello at [email protected]

City Centre skate map designed by young skaters ๐
One of the outcomes that the group of young skateboarders "PRIME Skaters Design" produced with artist Chris Alton: a map of skating spots in Plymouth ๐น
The map is about seeing Plymouth through the eyes of skateboarders and recognising the creativity and resourcefulness that skating requires.
This activity is part of Historic Englandโs High Street Heritage Action Zone (HSHAZ), delivered by Plymouth Culture in partnership with Take a Part and KARST.
You can download the map by clicking below:
๐ https://plymouthculture.co.uk/high-street-cultural-programme/
A printed version of the map can be collected for free from Prime Skate Park (21-23 Commercial Rd, Plymouth PL4 OLE) and Minerva Cafe (55 Bretonside,
Plymouth PL4 OBD) while stocks last.

๐๐๐ BEACH DAY!! ๐๐๐
This week Unlocked took a day-trip to Looe to all of the hard work throughout this term and across the lead up to Respect Festival.
We enjoyed kicking back with the cameras, recording some sound bites of the beach, a dip in the sea and an ice-cream of course!
And... relax!!
Lots more summer opportunities on the way๐

There was definitely a mix of serious concentration faces on the job, but also giggles and smiles all round because we had so much fun!
