π¬π Plymbridge were super scientists today! πΏ
The children enjoyed taking their science learning outside to explore friction. Using toy cars, they investigated how different surfaces affected how far the cars travelled. They discovered that surfaces with low friction allowed the cars to travel much further, while surfaces with high friction slowed them down.
Lots of fantastic investigating, predicting and scientific thinking! ππ§ͺβ¨

This week in Smeaton Class, we have been learning all about planting and growing seeds. π±
The children have also been working incredibly hard on their writing, thinking carefully about the sounds in words and independently writing words and sentences. We have seen amazing progress this week and are so proud of how much confidence and independence the children are showing.
There has been lots of brilliant learning taking place across the classroom, and the children have been enthusiastic, engaged and eager to challenge themselves. Well done, Smeaton Class! β

πβοΈ Cadover Class Take a Trip Around Europe! βοΈπ
On Wednesday, Cadover Class enjoyed an exciting day travelling around Europe, exploring different countries, cultures, foods and games.
Our first stop was France, where we sampled Brie and Madeleine cakes before playing Jacques a dit (Simon Says). We then flew to Germany, where the children completed a quiz and bravely tried dried sausage.
Next, we visited Italy, playing Gioco delle Biglie (a traditional marbles game) and tasting octopus and honey biscuits. In Spain, the children enjoyed trying anchovies and tortilla, as well as playing bingo in Spanish.
Our final destination was Russia, where we learnt that the country spans both Europe and Asia. The children played the traditional game Fleas in a Bowl and created their own Russian doll artwork.
The children had a fantastic day and showed great enthusiasm throughout, especially when trying lots of new foods and learning about different cultures, and how willing they were to embrace new experiences! πβοΈπ½οΈπ¨
