A little bit more about Drewā¦
I think I was a full-time graphic designer in a previous life! š
Two fun facts about Drew.
⢠Drew is a tapper!
⢠He loves to play cricket during the summer period.
Whatās your favourite thing about helping in aerial classes?
My favourite aspect of teaching aerial is when students are nervous about trying a new skill. We break it down into manageable steps and build their confidence at a steady pace. Seeing the excitement on their faces when they achieve it for the first time never gets old.
Whatās your favourite part of bringing a performance to life?
My favourite part of a performance is the tech run. Itās always great to see the performance come to life for the first time in one day. Lots of hours of teaching, planning and organising behind the scenes goes into creating a show but
itās all worth it when the students walk out in their costumes, full of confidence and ready to perform.
What do you think makes Vixen different?
Everyone learns at a different pace, and as teachers all we ask is that you try your very best and give it a go! The confidence comes with time, and we are here to support you every step of the way.
Describe Vixen in 3 words š§”
Fun, challenging and rewarding!

Itās time to introduce Drew! You will often find Drew making the students laugh and being the studio entertainmentš¦
What does Drew do?
Drew looks after Vixenās graphic design, assists in our aerial classes and supports Bella with events, performances and any other odd job that needs doing!
Tell us about your role behind the scenes.
I help support Bella with the creative side of Vixen. From designing our logos, posters and programmes to editing show music and helping prepare for events. I enjoy taking her ideas and bringing them to life. Itās rewarding to know Iāve played a small part in creating the Vixen experience for our students and families.
How did you become Vixenās graphic designer?
Iām actually self-taught and have spent the last 10 years developing my skills through a variety of creative projects. Bella & I first met as members of the Plymouth Theatre Company, during my time there I designed theatre programmes and advertisements for them. Since then Iāve also had the opportunity to create graphics for my local cricket team, Ivybridge Cricket Club, which has helped me continue developing my skills.
My graphic design journey has grown alongside Vixens. From creating to designing programmes and promotional material, itās been amazing to grow both my skills and watch the Vixen family grow. I love being able to use those skills to bring Vixenās ideas to life. Iām excited to see where the journey takes us next.
What happens behind the scenes?
What many people donāt realise is just how much goes into running Vixen. From planning classes, timetables and exams to organising shows and events, thereās always a task that needs to be completed.
Bella is constantly working to create the best possible experience for our students, both in class and on stage, and Iām proud to support her every step of the way. Whether itās designing posters and programmes, editing music, or chaperoning events, Iām always happy to lend a hand wherever itās needed.
Iām incredibly proud to be a part of Vixen (born in 2021) and continue on its journey. Seeing all the hard work come together and watching the students shine makes every late night and challenge worthwhile!

A little bit more about Miss Evieā¦
Whatās your favourite thing about the Vixen community?
At Vixen, I love that all the students, parents and the teachers support one another, helping each other inside and outside the studio space. It is an important value that we like to teach. This allows the students to navigate helping their friends inside and outside of classes, being kind to one another and sharing all the fun experiences in class together! We believe everything works better when we are all in it together!
Why is sharing our studentsā achievements so important to you?
Sharing the studentsā achievements here at Vixen, no matter what the achievement is, big or small, allows the students feel seen and valued. This allows students to keep growing, reflect on their accomplishments and build their confidence. I love seeing studentsā journeys over the years and supporting their progress and growth inside and outside the studio space. Capturing these moments matter!
What do I hope parents/carers/guardians experience when they contact Vixen?
I hope parents/carers/guardians feel heard and acknowledged as I transition into social media and admin manager. My goal is to help and support Vixen families to the best of my ability and provide clear and consistent communication with all the relevant detail and important information needed.
PLEASE NOTE Evie will now be replying to messages on socials!
Here are two fun facts.
⢠I have recently just returned home from travelling for the past 6 months and discovered Thailand is one of my favourite places in the whold.
⢠Sea swimming is my favourite hobby and is something I love to do all year round.

š¦As Vixen continues to grow, itās become increasingly important for us to expand our team behind the scenes as well as in the studio.
Iām so excited to share that Miss Evie will be transitioning into the role of Social Media & Admin Manager over the summer period.
Many of you will already know Evie as one of our wonderful aerial and dance teachers, sheāll also be taking on more of the day-to-day communication with our Vixen families. From replying to messages and emails to keeping our social media full of exciting updates, sheāll be helping everything run smoothly behind the scenes.
Now, over to Miss Evieā¦š§”
Hiya, Iām Evie! š
I have always loved dance and loved the feelings of freedom and empowerment through movement and music. When I discovered aerial, specifically aerial hammock/sling, learning I could do all these things in the air, as well as on the ground was just incredible.
Teaching, training and performing with intention is a big value of mine and I honestly love how much joy this job brings me!
What does Miss Evie enjoy about teaching?
At Vixen Dance and Circus I like having the ability to deliver a positive message to ALL students whilst providing safe learning techniques in a supportive environment. Encouraging students and supporting their growth is something Iāll always be thankful to be a part of. I enjoy seeing students achieve their goals and I find it inspires me to keep doing what I love. I also love being in the creative space and creating choreography alongside Miss Bella for performances and shows.
