Thankful Thursday

It was great to go to The Lincoln Arts Centre and see Andre’s tribute to David Bowie this week.

Superfan – The Property of Andre Waszczyszyn is on until the 22nd October and definitely worth a visit.

It was a poignant meet up with our dear friend Sue, Andre’s wife. We had a laugh (and a few tears) as we remembered Andre and his passion for David Bowie.

Looking forward to a couple of days of diving deep into Lencioni’s 5 Dysfunctions of a Team with two great leadership teams.

We’ll be exploring what it really takes to create healthy debate within teams — and the interpersonal skills needed to challenge, question, disagree and have those sometimes difficult conversations in a way that strengthens rather than damages relationships.

Because healthy teams aren’t teams that always agree… they’re teams where people feel safe enough to disagree well. 💬

I’m looking forward to some great conversations, plenty of reflection and, hopefully, a few lightbulb moments along the way! 🌟

Thankful Thursday

It was so lovely to return to the same hotel in Tenerife after 25 years and have a complete chill out week. Everything was great – food, accommodation, gardens and facilities and the best thing was the friendly staff, some of whom were still there from all those years ago!

What a fabulous four days we’ve had on our NLP Diploma in Coaching!

I feel incredibly lucky to have worked with such a fabulous group of people.
There was a real willingness to hold space for each other, learn from each other, challenge themselves and step outside their comfort zones — and the insights and learning that came from that were amazing to witness.

For me, this is what learning is all about. It’s not just about gaining knowledge; it’s about being curious, trying things out, having those lightbulb moments and discovering new possibilities in ourselves and in the way we work with others.

✨ Today’s the day! ✨

I’m super excited to be starting our 4-day NLP Diploma in Coaching this morning and welcoming a brand-new group of people as they begin their own NLP journey.

I always love that feeling at the start of a programme — a room full of curiosity, possibility and people ready to learn something new. And I’m just as curious to see what we will discover and learn together over the next four days!

NLP has had such a powerful influence on my own coaching and development journey. It can give us practical tools to:
🌱 Build confidence
💬 Enhance the quality of our conversations
🧠 Understand ourselves and others more deeply
✨ Tap into our potential
🎯 Create greater clarity and achieve our goals

For me, it’s not about learning a collection of techniques — it’s about becoming more curious about how we think, communicate and create change.

Thankful Thursday

Very sadly Cat Steven went over the rainbow bridge on Monday. I’m so thankful that he decided to come in and find us when he was poorly. He’d was a rescue cat from Animals in Need Charity and we were told he would only ever be an outside cat living in the hay barns. Yet he knew to come and be with us when he started to feel bad and spent the last 10 day purring round our legs and being stroked inside.

I feel privileged to have been able to care for him for the last 5 years after the bad start he had in life.

Thankful Thursday

What a privilege it was to see my niece, Matilda Bailes, perform in Much Ado About Nothing at the Shakespeare Globe. I couldn’t be prouder. It was such a delight (and I shed a few tears) to see her doing what she loves so much.

And it was so lovely sharing the experience with so many of our family. Special times!

🐴 The next generation of horse lovers… ❤️

There’s something very special about seeing a love of horses being passed from one generation to the next.

Heidi has been part of the Horses for Courses® family for the last 12 years, and it has been such a joy to watch her journey, her passion and her connection with horses grow over that time.

So, to now see her children following in her footsteps and developing their own love of these incredible animals is just wonderful.

Horses have a funny way of getting under your skin. They teach us so much about trust, connection, patience, communication and simply being present — lessons that stay with us long after we leave the yard.

And perhaps one of the loveliest things about what we do is knowing that the next generation is discovering that magic too.
