Spaces available for the coming term Birnam Arts and Active Kids Adventure Park.

Come join us with your little one for songs and sensory play! Suitable from birth -4 years.
Wednesdays 9.15am and 10.15am at the Birnam Arts. 23rd August - 5th October.
Thursdays 9.45am and 10.30am Active kids 24th August - 6th October.

🎶 ALL TOGETHER NOW 🎶

Starting THIS THURSDAY Colleen Nicoll Soprano is bringing a new relaxed concert series to the Dunkeld and Birnam community.

Theses events are completely FREE and for EVERYONE to enjoy. Come along to St Marys Church at 2pm for a cuppa and some chat before the concert begins.

The concerts are relaxed so singing along, dancing etc are encouraged and all of the music will be well known.

Although these concerts are in a format designed to be welcoming and comfortable for those with a dementia diagnosis, everyone from the community is invited to attend so we can all have a bit of fun singing some of our favourite songs together!

Planned dates are as follows
Thursday 6th October 2pm
Thursday 3rd November 2pm
Thursday 1st December 2pm

Malcolm Devenny – with more than 10 years teaching experience – will give you the guidance to learn basic skills, essential open chords, strumming patterns, and loads of great songs. This will be a fun and friendly group for beginners with a max of 5 participants.

Before lockdown Andrew Johnston and I were writing a show called TALES OF BEATRIX with local primary 3s. The show had to be cancelled with 2 weeks of the project to go (thanks Covid!) The Birnam Book fastival have asked us to perform the songs the children wrote alongside reading the stories (Jeremy Fisher, Mrs Tiggy Winkle and Peter Rabbit) as a stepping stone to relaunching the project in some capacity! If you fancy hearing the stories with the fantastic songs the kids wrote then come along on Sunday morning! It’s free but a £1 booking fee… tickets are here

Kids musical theatre classes will be running again this term at the Birnam Arts! Singing, dancing and acting with Colleen Nicoll. Booking is thought the Birnam Arts Website (places are limited!)

Help your child develop, explore and build their confidence. Colleen is a professional opera singer and workshop leader with a passion for engaging children in the arts. Each after school session will include singing, dancing, acting and most importantly lots of FUN
