Our fabulous KS1 team celebrating World Book Day 2026 🥳 📚

Our Avon and Somerset Mini Police officers have had an incredible 9 weeks, thanks to Aisha and Nick, our local PCSOs, and many of their colleagues. The Mini Police have had a visit to the Police HQ, where they were able to watch a stinger training exercise, as well as spend time in the control room, watching 999 and 101 calls being handled, and learnt about radio call signs and how to use the Police radios.

They also learnt about Hate Crime during Hate Crime week, found out the different roles and responsibilities within the Police, practised life saving and other first aid skills, spent some time in the community catching speeding drivers as part of their social action project, and became detectives for the day, learning all about different types of evidence, and solving a 'crime' themselves!

The sessions ended with a passing out ceremony, where their achievements were celebrated in front of friends and family, and they were presented with a certificate and their very own Mini Police pin badge.

A huge well done to them all, and massive thanks to Aisha, Nick, and all of the people from Avon and Somerset Police who supported them with the programme 🙌🤩

Crockerne Mini Police Officers had a great time at their first session with Avon & Somerset Police recently, learning all about the Police force and drawing up a contract agreeing their responsibilities as Mini Police.

They also spent some time checking out the back of the Police van! 👮‍♀️👮‍♂️🚔🚨
