Hello Parents and Judoka of Ryedale Judo Club,
We’re fully aware of the soaring temperatures today and how warm it will remain during our training sessions this evening. In light of this heat, we encourage all judoka to wear shorts instead of their gi bottoms this week to stay comfortable.
Additionally, please remember to bring plenty of water to stay hydrated throughout the session. Your well-being is our priority, so let’s keep it safe and enjoyable for everyone!
Looking forward to seeing you all on the mat! 🥋🥋🇬🇧🇬🇧

Tim tackled an ultra marathon yesterday, pushing through every mile with grit, focus, and the heart of a champion.
Tough terrain, tougher mindset — he kept moving when the going got tough.

⭐Lily-Mae update⭐
Proud Club moment!!!
On 23rd March 2026, Lily-Mae’s parents dropped her off at RAF Halton where she began her 10-week basic training! It has been a time filled with tears, laughter, camaraderie, early mornings, late nights, learning new military skills, lots of messages and video calls to our coaching team!! A journey of incredible personal growth for Lily!!
On Wednesday 3rd June, her parents Jon & Clair attended her Graduation Parade to celebrate the successful completion of her basic training — a proud occasion showcasing outstanding discipline, commitment, and precision on parade.
Well done Lily-Mae the entire club are so very proud off you!!! good luck as you move into phase two for the specialist training!!
Wazari achieved!! Moving on to strive for that Ippon!!
