Last month we had our Quality Assurance Visit with tiney, and we’re absolutely thrilled to share that we were graded GOOD across every area — with wonderful feedback about our nurturing environment, language-rich practice, independence-focused routines, and the secure, loving relationships we build with every child in our care. 💛

The consultant highlighted our:

🌟 A Month of Kindness, Creativity & Celebration! 🌟

We began with Martin Luther King Jr. Week, focusing on kindness, unity, and working together to make the world a better place. 🌍💙

Next, we celebrated Chinese New Year, learning about traditions, culture, and the importance of sharing with others. 🏮🐉

During Children’s Mental Health Week, we explored the importance of expressing ourselves, using creativity, storytelling, and emotions to help us feel good. 🎨💭

Valentine’s Week was all about love, friendship, and showing appreciation for those we care about. 💕💌

Then came Fairytale Week, where our imaginations ran wild as we explored magical worlds through stories and adventures. 📖✨

We wrapped up with two exciting days – Pancake Day, where we got creative in the kitchen, and World Book Day, celebrating the magic of books and the joy of reading. 🥞📚

It’s been a fantastic few weeks filled with kindness, creativity, and imagination – what was your favourite moment? 💫

We know it’s been a little quiet on here lately – sorry about that! 🤦‍♀️🙈 But we’re back and looking forward to posting more regularly to keep you updated with all the fun and learning happening each week. Stay tuned!

Exciting News: Dan has Joined Our Childminding Nursery Team!

I’m so excited to share that my amazing husband, Dan, has officially joined me this week as an assistant in our childminding nursery! Many of you already know Dan as Bella’s wonderful daddy and as the children’s favourite visitor during his lunchtime pop-ins. Now, we’re thrilled he’ll be with us full-time, bringing his enthusiasm, imagination, and love for working with children to our team.

Dan has a real passion for outdoor learning and is especially excited to help get our garden ready to open before Easter! He believes in the importance of children having fun while they explore and grow, and he’s full of ideas to create an inspiring outdoor space for the little ones. He’s brilliant at roleplay and building toys, always capturing the children’s imaginations with his ideas. His silly and playful personality has already made such a positive impact, and his calm and caring nature creates a lovely, nurturing environment for the children.

We’re so excited to have him on board and look forward to all the fun and adventures ahead at our childminding nursery!

🎄 Christmas Update 🎄

It’s been a while – sorry for the quiet! December has been such a busy but lovely festive month with all the children, including my little one.

We’ve been enjoying so much together – getting crafty, sensory play, bus rides, and lots of fun at playgroups. One of our absolute highlights was making painted Christmas trees and playdough snowmen!

Although I don’t have any pictures (🤦), we also hosted our very own Christmas Craft Morning filled with creativity and sweet treats – such a wonderful time!

I hope you’ve all had a magical Christmas and are looking forward to the year ahead. Keep an eye out for some big news coming in the next couple of days! 👀✨

🌟 It’s been a while since we posted—we’ve been busy having lots of fun! 🎉

October was all about celebrating Halloween, and we had a fantastic time! 🎃👻 We hosted our very first Rising Robyn’s Tiney Home Nursery Halloween Party, where the little ones brought their grown-ups and siblings along for a spooky good time. The children loved getting stuck into crafts, dressing up, and enjoying party food. It was wonderful to see them proudly showing their adults the toys and activities they've been exploring recently. 🧸✨

Now that Halloween is behind us, it’s time for the next big celebration—Christmas! 🎄🎅 Yes, we’re already starting to put up the Christmas lights inside the Franco household. We absolutely love Christmas, and now that we’re minding, we can’t wait to share this festive joy with all our lovely families! 😍💫

Super excited that I am pleased to announce I got a 5 in my Environmental Health Inspection this morning! So I can continue to feed all my mindees for all meals and snacks throughout the day! 😍

Rising Robyn's has been busy over the last couple of weeks, but such an exciting time! We started by reading "The Paper Dolls," which sparked some amazing creativity. The children loved making their own paper dolls, colouring and decorating them with paint to make each one unique. We also had some fun travel adventures - riding the train to playgroup was a highlight, as the children were so excited to be on the train. We’ve also driven to a few different playgroups, giving us the chance to explore new places and socialise with other children.

On top of all the fun, we’ve been working on building those important independent skills. Snack time was a great opportunity for the children to practise spreading dairy-free butter on their rice cakes all by themselves, and they were so proud of their efforts! It's been a wonderful mix of creativity, learning, and making new friends along the way. We can’t wait to see what the next few weeks bring! Look out for the spooky posts coming shortly!

This week we have welcomed new children into the setting and have had lovely time getting to know each other! We have had breakfast times, snack times and also laughter, especially when I have tried singing along to songs with them!

At Rising Robyn's I offer three free one hour settles that you can group together or separate and then you have an additional (chargeable) option to settle them further if you wish to do so!

Welcome to my new families it has been super exciting and such a lovely week already!

Great day with our cousin and friend yesterday! They had lots of activities to share with each other. The children mainly enjoyed colouring where they all tried to write letters of their names. As they were so focused on this, I made a tuff tray full of (heat treated) flour and alphabet letters to further support and develop their recognition of letters. They tried to copy each letter by mark making into the tray but quickly decided they wanted to make cakes with the flour instead! ❤️
