Students at TPS are celebrating today after receiving their GCSE results, enabling them to successfully embark on the next stage of their education journey.
TPS students have once again made outstanding progress, with close to 85% achieving a grade 4 (grade C) or above in both English and Maths! Additionally, over a third of all the grades awarded to students at TPS were at the top grade 7 to 9 level. The 2026 cohort have achieved excellent results, whilst demonstrating great resilience, commitment and determination during their time at TPS.
The accomplishments of students were celebrated across the board. Particular highlights include:
Two students achieved a remarkable ‘perfect 10’ of TEN grade 9 examination results! Huge congratulations to both Charlotte, who plans to study Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry at our joint Bohunt Sixth Form and Ivor, who also plans to continue his studies at Bohunt Sixth Form. Charlotte said “I’m really happy with my results and have enjoyed studying Maths and Science at TPS, which I am now going on to study at Sixth Form”. Ivor said “I'm really, really happy with my results and a huge thanks to my teachers at TPS”.
Mika, from Liss, has secured a prestigious scholarship to Harrow School Haikou in China to continue her Mandarin studies from TPS. She achieved five grade 9, four grade 8, one grade 7 and one grade 6 GCSEs. She said “I’m really happy with my results, and now excited and a bit nervous ahead of leaving the UK to study A Levels in China.”
Petersfield Town Rugby player, Margot, sustained a wrist injury just before the exams started but she did not let it put her off her stride. Despite having to use a computer for many of her exams, she went on to achieve one grade 8, two grade 7, four grade 6 and two grade 5 GCSEs plus a Level 2 Distinction in PE. She said “I did a lot better than I expected as due to a broken wrist I had to type my exams, so I am very pleased with my results”.
Ukrainian cousins, Marta, from South Harting, and Dasha, from Liss, both achieved great GCSE results, including top grades in their favourite subject of dance - truly remarkable given that they joined TPS late and have only been in the UK since 2022 when they fled the war in Ukraine. Dasha said “I’m really grateful to TPS for making me so welcome and for the support I have received. Thank you to my teachers for believing in me”.
Several subjects secured truly fantastic results with over 85% of the students achieving grades 4 to 9 (A* to C) included English, maths, biology, chemistry, physics, geography, photography, drama, dance, food, media, economics, RE, music, art, PE, French and Mandarin.

This is especially impressive given the considerable disruption this cohort faced at the end of their primary education. We cannot wait to see the great things that our students will accomplish in the next stage of their education and in the wider world.”
