Winton playgroup closed it’s doors forever last week , the last couple of years have been tricky to navigate and sadly this academic year the group came to a natural end 😏
This preschool i truly believe was unique , a place where children thrived and learned and developed in their own way with our support. We aimed to meet the needs of our children and support our families to the best of our ability. There has been highs , lows , blood sweat and tears ! 🤦‍♀️😂🤯 Thank you to everyone who at some point has been part of our incredible journey , although the group has physically closed there is memories to cherish for a lifetime!

Fun in the sun this last couple of weeks ,
We harvested the potatoes we grew , we washed , cooked and ate them !
Lots of different age appropriate activities including using some potatoes for printing, making our own flower arrangements,
The children had their own little sports day with several races chosen by themselves, they welcomed a medal and an ice lolly afterwards 😀
The lovely Sam and Daisy has been into see us 😀

It is going to be extremely hot again tomorrow, we will do our best to keep the children cool , please make sure they have spare clothes as we will have plenty of water play , apply sun cream before session and ensure they have a water bottle ☀️🥵

We went and watched the trains and went to the park last week which is a favourite with our children at the moment, we also explored paint using straws to blow it to make different patterns. Our 2 work experience students Ruby and Alisha were kept busy as the children really enjoyed their company and wanted them to join in with their play 😀

I want to shout from the rooftops that the fabulous Kadie Goodwin has smashed her training and assessments and today has officially become a level 3 trained early years practitioner! I’m so proud of you , very well deserved 👏👏🩷

Our caterpillars 🐛 turned into butterflies 🦋 just in time before the half term break ! The children have loved watching the caterpillar to butterfly cycle, such a valuable learning experience for them to see visually the changes 😊
