North East SCITT is the teacher training arm of The Academy at Shotton Hall - an outstanding secondary school in Peterlee, County Durham. Offering an innovative and truly immersive approach to Initial Teacher Training (ITT), all of our programmes are accompanied by 60 M-Level Credits from Durham University.

We are beginning an exciting new partnership with Northumbria University! 👨🏫✨
This means that, as a North East SCITT trainee, your PGCE qualification will be awarded by Northumbria University. This also means that you will have full access to Northumbria University's library, online self-study dashboard and student portal! 👏🍏

NELT Teaching School Hub is one of 87 centres across England that offer teachers high quality training and development throughout their careers. The hub provides teachers with increased pathways and expands their network of professional relationships with other schools and teachers in the North East. 🤝
