The time has come for me to say Farewell. I would like to thank every staff member, family and child that has walked through the doors of the nursery past and present. I carry fond memories in my heart of my time at Dales Park. In my retirement I hope to be walking, cycling and watercolour painting.

I wish you all the very best in the future.

🍦 I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream for Ice Cream! Today’s visitor to the nursery went down a treat.

Everyone at Dales Park ELCC would like to congratulate Mrs Rattray who graduated last week with a BA degree in Childhood Practice📚👧🏻👦🏼

We are all so proud of the hard work and dedication you have put into achieving your qualification🎓💛

Today both sessions had a visit from Kirsty at Musical Seedlings.

We sang songs and did body percussion. We sang songs about the seagull.

We got to learn how to make a beat on the drums. We also got to listen to a ukulele.

Thank you Kirsty for visiting us, we had lots of fun.

The children and staff have been busy learning to care for caterpillars.

The children have been learning about the butterfly life cycle and have been exploring each stage in the process. We have watched videos on the smart board of their transition and learnt caterpillars facts.

The children have been creative and have made a butterfly life cycle display and have created their own caterpillars whilst having the real caterpillars to look at.

The children have also been looking at the different colours on the butterflies and have been learning about symmetry.

Today the children released the last butterfly into the nursery garden and watched it fly away.

🏅Sports Day 2024🏅

Thank you very much to all the families who took part in our sports day. We had a huge turn out of parents attending our day.

Thank you very much for all the families who have supported us over the years and continue to do so. This will be our last family day as Dales Park Nursery and all staff really appreciate the support we have been given.

Greenacres ELC will be the new name for the setting. Thank you to all who came along for the open morning and joined in with the name reveal.

A reminder that the nursery will be closed on Monday the 3rd of June for all children.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿The Euro’s is Nearly Upon Us🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

As the euros is fast approaching and we are going to be celebrating our country and their achievements.

We will be looking at football strips, flags, improving our football skills, physical fitness, eating healthy and learning our national anthem. We are also planning some training sessions with football players.

We are participating in the Offical Scotland Sticker Collection with M&S who are giving out free sticker packs when you spend £20 or more in the food hall.

We would really appreciate if you would be able to donate your sticker packs to the children for us to complete our sticker book as memory of our focus and ours countries achievements.

☀️An afternoon at the park☀️

We have spend this glorious afternoon at Meethill Park. We took snack and enjoyed a picnic with our friends.
We played on the swings, slide and climbing frame.

All the children walked wonderfully along the pavements and to the park. On the way back we used the lollipop lady to cross the road at a busy time.

Fun in the sun! Feeling creative with a large group painting and performing on our new stage.
