Reports 📝
End-of-year reports were issued to parents/carers today. If you have not yet collected your child’s report, please do so before the end of term. A reminder that we are unable to send reports home with pupils.

End of Term ☀️
A reminder that the last day of term is Thursday 2 July. Pupils are permitted to “dress down” on the final day. Parents and carers are welcome to join us in the playground from 2:45pm to cheer out our P7 pupils.

Moving Up Day 👋
Pupils enjoyed spending the afternoon in their new classes today. It was lovely to see how excited everyone was—especially those moving “upstairs,” which is an exciting milestone for our P4 pupils!

Spare Uniform 👕
As we approach the end of another school year, we are accepting donations of pre-loved school uniform. In particular, we are looking for jumpers and polo shirts (sizes approximately 9–10 years and above). Please drop off any donations at the school office.

Foodbank 🥫🥣🍎🥕
A reminder to families who access our school foodbank: due to the upcoming school holidays, next week will be our final distribution of food bags until August. We understand this may be a worrying time for some families—if you feel this may affect you, please contact the school office and we will signpost you to alternative support.

Toys/Teddies 🧸🪀
We have seen a marked increase in the number of pupils bringing small toys, teddies, and other items from home. Unless agreed with your child’s teacher, we kindly ask that these items are not brought to school, as they can be lost or damaged and may cause distraction in class. Thank you for your support with this.

Bike Shelter 🚲
Please ensure that all bikes are taken home before the end of term to prevent damage or theft during the summer holidays.

Parent Council

Come along and celebrate the end of the school year with us at our Shorts and Shades Disco this Thursday - 25th June at 4pm until 5.30pm!

Open to all Central Pupils from Nursery to P7.

Entry is £1 per person, snacks and other items will also be available to purchase at the event.

Nursery and P1 Parents/Carers must stay for the duration of the disco, Children in P2-P5 must be collected by an adult.

📚✨ ONE MILLION WORDS! ✨📚

Since October, we have been using Accelerated Reader with our P4–P7 pupils to help develop reading skills, encourage a love of reading, and build confidence.

Our P7 pupils set themselves an ambitious challenge to read one million words before the end of term. Last week, they checked their progress and were absolutely amazed to discover they had read a fantastic 1.3 million words – smashing their target by an incredible 300,000 words! 🎉

What an outstanding achievement and a testament to their hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm for reading.

To celebrate this milestone, Miss Dow made sure their success was rewarded with a well-deserved treat – million sweets! 🍬

We are incredibly proud of every single one of them. Well done, P7!
