Today we had our Fathers Day stay and play today, it was only right to have a game of football and decorate our very own world cups! ⚽️ 🏆 the children were absolutely delighted to have their dads there to play and even enjoyed a round of mini golf ⛳️

Last week we said goodbye to kelly and good luck as she moves on to her next chapter 🥹📚

We would like to say a huge thank you to Kelly for all her hardwork and commitment to the nursery over the past 7 years. All her hard work and kindness has had a huge impact on all the children ❤️

Kelly will be greatly missed by all the children and staff but we wish her all the best in her new role 🥰

Happy Birthday to us ! First Class Day Nursery is 21 this week ! 🎉

Over those years we have welcomed hundreds of children and their families to our nursery and it has been our honour and privilege to share in those children’s early years experiences.

We’ve had lots of fun, some tears and many laughs with our little ones, many of whom started in the baby room and remained to graduate from the Early Learning and childcare room before heading to school and returned to our Breakfast, Afterschool or Holiday clubs.

As employers we have been supported by many professional colleagues and excellent practitioners over the years, and right now we are lucky to have the Best ever team of dedicated and committed staff. Our sincere thanks to them and to the parents, carers and wider family members who have trusted us to care for their precious children.

When the “children” start to bring their own little ones to the nursery we know it’s time to plan for retirement ! It’s time to hand over the reins to new owners so the nursery is currently for sale - anyone interested please get in touch !

⭐️ 2s Room ⭐️

This week the children have taken an interest in the ice cream van and ice cream 🍦

So today we decided to make our own ice cream 🍦

We added
1/2 cup milk 🥛
1/2 cup double cream
Teaspoon of vanilla essence
Tablespoon of sugar
Into a zip lock bag

In a bigger zip lock bag we filled 1/2 the bag with ice and added a 1/4 cup of salt to it.

We placed the smaller bag with the mixture into the ice and shook for 6 minutes.

Once our ice cream was made we enjoyed a lovely bowl for our snack we added strawberry 🍓 and chocolate 🍫 sauce, a cone and a chocolate flake 😋
