We are a private day nursery with 5 rooms providing high quality childcare for children aged 2 weeks to 5 years. We are registered and inspected by Ofsted
We provide nappies and wipes, formula milk, bottles, home cooked healthy food and snacks and above all a fantastic experience for children from 2 weeks to 11 years throughout our nursery and out of school care. Room Manager – Preschool + working in the our of school club as an Early Years Educator
40 hours all year round
Pay: Up to £14.60 per hour
Your main duties will include:
· To manage, support and lead a team of up to 2 other practitioners in the day to day running and forward planning of the room.
· The term time only preschool room can accommodate up to 20 children
-The same room also runs the out of school club before 9am and after 3pm term time and holiday club 7.45am to 6pm during the school holidays.
· To reflect on current practice and ensure the provision is meeting the agreed quality standards.
· To maintain a safe, stimulating and enjoyable environment.
· To support transitions to school and to adapt practice to each child individually.
· To work within our team supporting children to progress and develop their skills in the various areas of the EYFS.
· To support children of various ages and abilities including support to the team with children who speak English as an additional language as well as children with additional education or care needs.
· To provide a high quality, child-centred service to meet the needs of children, young people and their families, in line with the EYFS.
· To play an integral part in Safeguarding within the nursery
· To have a strong relationship with Ravensthorpe Primary school
· To carry out parents evenings, parent ‘stay and play’ sessions and day to day fun stimulating learning experiences.
· To support each child individually using starting points, next steps and the planning and assessment cycle.
You must have:
· A relevant qualification Level 3 or above in childcare and at least 2 years post qualify experience in a nursery
· Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence
· Strong leadership and organisation skills.
· Commitment to young children and families.
-A strong knowledge of safeguarding
-A strong knowledge of supporting children with additional needs
-Excellent literacy and communication skills

We are excited for our upcoming Father’s Day stay and play week in June.
Our stay and play sessions allow a chance for you to come into the nursery for an hour and spend time within your child's playroom. The staff will have lots of activities planned throughout the week for you to join in with.
