We are delighted to announce that our apprentice Harvey Willoughby achieved 3rd place in the recent IMI National Skills competition for Automotive Refinishing.

Harvey (pictured left) successfully completed his apprenticeship in Vehicle Damage Paint Technician last year with PSA, and has returned to us to continue his training in Vehicle Damage Panel.

The IMI Skills Competitions set out to identify the most talented young apprentices working in the automotive sector. Run annually, they are designed to raise standards, esteem and levels of expertise in technical skills.

In the workshop today Archie and George have been revising and learning diagnostics.

Diagnostics is a vital skill for their apprenticeships and a skill that they will use throughout their career.

Tom’s learners have been making great use of their online resources, building the knowledge that underpins everything they do in the workshop.

It’s not just about the practical - understanding the theory is key, especially when working towards EPA.

From revision to research, they’ve been putting the time in to make sure they’re fully prepared and confident in what they’re learning.

Ben’s latest retail group are coming towards the end of their course and it’s been great to see how far they’ve come.

Over the past few weeks, they’ve been building their knowledge, growing in confidence, and getting to grips with the key skills needed to step into the workplace.

It’s always good to see that shift from day one to the final sessions - more understanding, more confidence, and a clearer sense of what’s next.

Our Retail Course in full flow! Ben’s learners have been hard at work this week, getting stuck into their assignments and building their knowledge across retail.

This is now Ben’s second group of learners and it’s been great to see the confidence and understanding growing week by week. From customer service to teamwork and retail processes, everyone is putting in the effort and making real progress.

With the final group starting on 9th March, it’s exciting to see so many learners taking this step to build their skills and open up new opportunities.

We finished off National Apprenticeships week with a visit to Upchurch Vehicle Services in Chatteris, to present Manson Arnold with a certificate and voucher for Apprentice of the Year- Autocare.

Manson was nominated for his great attitude in his training with us, he tries really hard and gets stuck in every session, and has really made an impression on us! Well done Manson!

We also delivered a certificate to Upchurch Vehicle Services for their continued support in Apprenticeships, and some delicious cupcakes to end the week with! 😋 🧁

We also visited Fix Autos in Skegness today!

We awarded Fix Autos with cakes and a certificate, we want to thank them for their ongoing support towards our apprenticeships 🧁

Today we had an amazing visit to RT Autos in Skegness.

We awarded Harvey Willoughby our paint apprentice of the year, with a certificate and a voucher!

Not only did Harvey complete his paint apprenticeship with us, he’s came back to do the panel apprenticeship!

We also awarded RT Autos with a certificate and some cupcakes, for their ongoing support towards our apprenticeships!
