The weather might have have been changeable, but it didn't dampen the spirits of our Year 1 children when they recently enjoyed a day out at Rutland Water!

Over the last two weeks, our Reception children have enjoyed sharing books with children from Year 3 and Year 4. This has been a fantastic experience to enjoy a range of books together.

Last Thursday our KS2 children took part in our annual Fun Run. We are so pleased to share that we came first and won the trophy.

Last week, our Year 3s had a wonderful week of outdoor learning.

The children enjoyed a visit from Earthwatch, during which they planted strawberries, cucumbers and other fruits and vegetables, while learning about sustainability and plant growth.

As part of their science topic 'Plants', they also visited Matley Park to investigate a variety of plants and flowers, developing their observational and scientific enquiry skills.

Well done, Year 3!

Our Year 4s had a very wet but exciting visit from Earthwatch this morning. The class has collected lots of natural objects to place into our new bug hotel. Pupils enjoyed identifying different leaves during their leaf rubbing activity. What a wonderful 'nature' morning they've had ☘️🌿🌱🍀🌳🍂🍁

Thursday afternoon was a little more relaxed in school with the handing out of their leavers hoodies - a hugh thank you once again to our fantastic PTFA for buying the hoodies and to all those parents who made a contribution towards the cost..........I'm sure you'll agree they look fab! ⭐️

What thoughtful children we have in our Reception class! On Friday our EYFS class made some beautiful friendship bracelets and then hand-delivered them to members of staff around the school. Such a kind thing to do - everyone loved them, it was a lovely way to end the week! Thank you Reception for making us all smile!
