Mrs Moore and Mrs Smith (formally Bishop!) are putting on their running shoes and taking part in the Great Eastern Half Marathon on 11th October, to raise funds for Thorpe Hall, in memory of Nat Bridle. If anyone would like to contribute to their fund raising efforts, please follow the link to their JustGiving page:

If sure they'd both welcome seeing some friendly faces on the day, so why not go along and support them from the sidelines!

Thank you for your support

On Friday, our pupils took part in our new enrichment programme.

Children enjoyed a range of activities designed to help them develop new skills, discover new interests and enjoy new experiences. These included chess, sport, art and crafts, book club, Green Earth, stop motion and construction.

Through our enrichment offer, we want every child to:

Believe - build confidence in themselves and what they can achieve.
Explore - discover new interests, experiences and opportunities.
Shine - recognise and develop their individual strengths and talents.
Thrive - have fun, build relationships and grow through new experiences.

It was wonderful to see the children so engaged, enthusiastic and excited about trying something new!

We have some new arrivals in school! In one of our courtyards, a mummy pigeon has hatched some baby squabs 😍
Some lucky pupils have been keeping a close eye on the nest, so of course we've turned it into a learning opportunity, and have been looking at the life cycle of pigeons and naming different parts of a pigeon's body........
We'll hopefully have the squabs with us for a few more weeks before they fly the nest..........

A huge thank you to everyone who supported us at our Bubble and Colour runs on the last day of term. Together we raised the AMAZING sum of £1125.26 for Thorpe Hall, in memory of our lovely Nat Bridle. We are truly grateful for your generosity 🩷

Hopefully everyone cleaned up okay! 😍

Well, another school year draws to a close......

We've just said a tearful goodbye to our Year 6s as they leave us to start their next chapter, and we're just about to head out to the school field for our Bubble and Colour runs in memory of Miss Bridle.

We couldn't bring the year to an end without saying a huge thank you to our wider school community - to all our pupils who continue to amaze us with their brilliance, to all our parents and carers for their unwavering support, to our school volunteers who give up their free time to help in class, to members of our amazing PTFA who have worked tirelessly throughout the year to run so many events for our children, and to our fantastic staff team here at Meadows who come to school every day determined to make a difference.
........so many people all pulling together to give our children the very best primary school experience they can have - thanks to each and every one of you.

It only remains to wish everyone a safe and relaxing summer break. Enjoy the sunshine whilst it lasts and we look forward to welcoming families, new and old, to Ormiston Meadows in September.
