A huge thank you to everyone who supported us at our Bubble and Colour runs on the last day of term. Together we raised the AMAZING sum of £1125.26 for Thorpe Hall, in memory of our lovely Nat Bridle. We are truly grateful for your generosity 🩷

Hopefully everyone cleaned up okay! 😍

Well, another school year draws to a close......

We've just said a tearful goodbye to our Year 6s as they leave us to start their next chapter, and we're just about to head out to the school field for our Bubble and Colour runs in memory of Miss Bridle.

We couldn't bring the year to an end without saying a huge thank you to our wider school community - to all our pupils who continue to amaze us with their brilliance, to all our parents and carers for their unwavering support, to our school volunteers who give up their free time to help in class, to members of our amazing PTFA who have worked tirelessly throughout the year to run so many events for our children, and to our fantastic staff team here at Meadows who come to school every day determined to make a difference.

........so many people all pulling together to give our children the very best primary school experience they can have - thanks to each and every one of you.

It only remains to wish everyone a safe and relaxing summer break. Enjoy the sunshine whilst it lasts and we look forward to welcoming families, new and old, to Ormiston Meadows in September.

SEND Youth Squad......

This year three children from OMA have taken part in Peterborough's SEND Youth Squad. This is an initiative where children with special educational needs and disabilities are given the chance to share 'what works' for them in Peterborough - where they like to go, what they like to do and the support they get both in school and across the city - in order to shape future change to local services.

On Monday they attended a celebration event with family and friends where they enjoyed a lovely lunch and received a badge and certificate each.

Well done to our fantastic representatives! ⭐️

What a fantastic Bronze Age and Iron Age experience our Year 3s had last week!

Pupils designed brooches, created headpieces and jewellery out of paper, made clay pots, and produced charcoal drawings inspired by the Bronze and Iron Ages.

Their creativity was wonderful to see!

A huge thank you to our parents for the amazing costumes. The children looked fantastic, especially in the heat. Well done, Year 3! 🌟

More Year 3 news!

What an incredible achievement for our Year 3 children this last week! After weeks of rehearsing and working hard, they took to the stage for both their dress rehearsal in school and their final performance at the Key Theatre where they proudly performed 'Stay Brave Brian Gravy' as part of the Landmark Theatre Project.

The children first performed their dress rehearsal to the whole school before taking to the stage at the Key Theatre to perform for their family and friends. They showed fantastic resilience, worked brilliantly as a team and grew in confidence throughout the project.

It was wonderful to see all of their hard work come together.
We couldn't be prouder of every single one of them. They truly were SUPERSTARS! ⭐

Last week (before the sun forced us all indoors!) Year 3 had lots of fun exploring shadows outside as part of their Science topic on 'Light and Shadows'. Pupils investigated how shadows are formed and observed how they changed as they moved around in the sunlight. It was a great practical lesson, and everyone enjoyed learning outdoors.

As the hot weather continues into this coming week we will continue with the hot weather changes put in place. Children are welcome to wear their school PE kit next week (children can wear either our branded PE top or a plain white/black T-shirt). Please remember children will need sun cream applied before school, a hat and a water bottle. Many thanks!

A reminder that tomorrow is the last day to sign up for our Bubble and Colour runs, in memory of Miss Bridle. If you would like to take part and haven't yet secured your place, please log onto your child's iPAY account and sign up. The event is free to take part in, but we do have a Just Giving page if anyone would like to help us raise funds for Sue Ryder, Thorpe Hall, who cared for our dear Natalie during her last weeks.

Thank you for your support
