🍂🎨 Autumn Painting & Colour Exploration 🎨🍂
A lovely autumn-inspired painting experience, giving the children plenty of opportunities to explore colour, texture and different ways of making marks.
Using brushes, sponges and their hands, the children experimented with painting techniques, mixing colours and discovering what happens when different colours are combined. 🍁🧡💛🤎
We explored the beautiful colours of autumn while developing fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and creativity. The children were encouraged to make their own choices, experiment freely and enjoy the process of creating.

🌿🐰 Nature Reserve Learning Adventure! 🐰🌿

A wonderful outing to our local nature reserve and woodland, where learning happened naturally through exploration, curiosity and discovery! 🌳🍎

We spotted apple trees, explored the woodland surroundings and discovered train tracks along our adventure. We also noticed some large animal holes in the ground, leading to lots of questions and conversations about what animals might live there. 🐾🔎

We enjoyed seeing by the ponds, seeing the ducks and the swans.. we found a lovely spot to have lunch but the swans wanted to join us- so of to the park we went! 🙈🤣

This outing provided so many valuable EYFS learning opportunities, including:
🌱 Understanding the World – exploring nature, animals, plants and our local environment
🗣️ Communication & Language – talking about what we could see, hear and discover
🏃 Physical Development – walking, climbing and navigating different outdoor surfaces
🔢 Mathematics – noticing quantities, sizes, shapes and patterns in nature
❤️ Personal, Social & Emotional Development – building confidence, independence and awareness of the world around us
🎨 Expressive Arts & Design – using our imagination and creativity inspired by the natural environment

☁️ Big Sky – Big Fun! 🐰💕

What a fun-filled adventure at Big Sky Soft Play! 🌈✨

The children had lots of opportunities to learn through play, explore their interests and build confidence in a fun and exciting environment.

🧸 Role-play areas encouraged imagination, creativity and language development as the children created their own stories and experiences.

🧗 Climbing equipment supported physical development, balance, coordination, strength and gross motor skills, while also building confidence and independence.

✨ Sensory areas provided opportunities to explore different textures, sounds and experiences, supporting curiosity and sensory development.

A fantastic day of learning, exploring, moving, imagining and, most importantly… BIG FUN! 💕🐰

🐰🐾 Real-Life Learning Adventures! 🌿✨

Today we enjoyed a lovely outing to see some animals, creating wonderful opportunities for real-life learning and exploration. 🐴🐑🐓

The children were encouraged to develop their language and communication skills as we talked about the animals we could see, their names, sounds, colours and what they might eat. 🗣️💬

We also enjoyed lots of physical development at the park, climbing, balancing, running and exploring the equipment, helping to build confidence, coordination and gross motor skills. 🛝🏃‍♀️
