'To advance the education of pupils in the school by developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school and engaging in activities, or providing extra facilities or equipment the school would not have a budget for. We aim to do this through the organisation of sociable and fun events for all families, while actively promoting good relationships within the school community.'

Fundraising
FOSH raises funds to support our children's education and generally contributes to the added extras that help to make their time and experience at Sacred Heart School better. Some of the things that FOSH have funded includes (look out for the FOSH Plaques):
• Climbing Wall
• Sail outside Year 2
• Queens Jubilee Party - (included a small memento for each child)
• Wooden shed
• Wooden story telling chair for the school field
• Contributions to school trips

How Can You Get Involved? There are lots of ways you can help and support your child through FOSH.
• Helping at specific FOSH events
o At the planning stage – we always welcome ideas
o Before the event – whatever the event there is always lots to prepare
o On the day – helping on a stall, to serve teas and coffees , preparing food, setting up stands etc
• Helping on the committee
• Becoming the FOSH parent leader for your child’s class
• Offering to help before events or at other times during the year is so valuable –

It really is a case of ‘many hands make light work’. It doesn’t matter if you can’t help on a regular basis, or even if you can’t come into school. There are always little jobs that can be done from home if you have half an hour to spare e.g. wrapping gifts, preparing raffle tickets etc. We really couldn’t achieve what we do without the unseen ‘army of help’ that exists in school.
