I am an Ofsted registered childminder living in Wittering Village and I live with my husband, two children and our two very friendly dogs. I offer a home from home warm and safe environment with various toys and activities allowing your child/ren to learn and develop whilst in my care. my husband and i are both DBS checked and i cleared. I am level 3 paediatric first aid trained, I am in the process of further training on various subjects relating to childcare but i have already completed a level 3 childcare award, food hygiene, safeguarding and child protection, behavior management, delivering the EYFS, introduction to Austism spectrum disorder and supporting children with speech, language and communication needs.

Conker racing!
We put our conkers to the test, rolling them down the wooden plank to see which one would reach the bottom first! 😂🌰

The children had so much fun choosing their conkers, taking turns and cheering them on. A simple activity that encouraged turn-taking, patience, hand-eye coordination and early problem-solving skills — with plenty of excitement along the way! 🍂🤎

We joined our friends from some of our other settings for a lovely morning of conker picking. The children had so much fun searching, collecting and filling their baskets with autumn treasures. 🤎

A lovely chance to enjoy the outdoors, explore nature and spend time with friends while developing teamwork, communication and social skills along the way. 🍁🌿

Conker Smash!

We used a wooden mallet to carefully smash open some conkers and see what was hiding inside! 🤎

The children loved the smashing part (of course! 😂) while developing hand-eye coordination, strength, fine and gross motor skills and concentration.

We also talked about what we could see inside the conkers and how they felt and looked. A simple activity with lots of learning — and plenty of fun! 🌰🍁

We used some of the leaves we’d collected to create our own leaf rubbing pictures.

The children enjoyed discovering the different shapes, sizes and patterns as they rubbed over the leaves, before adding their own drawings to create something special to take home for their families. 🤎

This simple activity supported fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, pencil control and concentration, while also encouraging creativity and giving the children the chance to explore the natural world around them. 🌿🍂

We stopped off in the churchyard, one of our favourite little spots, to have a closer look at how everything is starting to change for autumn. 🍁

The children enjoyed spotting the different colours, leaves and little treasures along the way. Even our youngest buddies got involved and had fun exploring with us. 🤎

I love seeing them notice all the little changes around us as the seasons change. 🍂✨
