Dear Dr Wright,

I would like to say a big thank you to you, the staff and the board.

Please can you forward this to them so they understand our appreciation. As you know I have sent two of my daughters to Iqra and you have exceeded our expectations in teaching and education.

Whilst I have no more daughters to send I would highly recommend the school to anyone.

What you have done cannot be expressed in words.

Whilst we may not have an active presence in the school we will alway be willing to assist should you have a need.

Congratulations to Aisha and Abiha for joining Peterborough Youth Council.

We look forward to your contributions and representation of Iqra Academy city wide.

Peterborough Youth Council is a city-wide youth voice group that campaigns on issues important to young people and assists Peterborough City Council and local organisations to ensure young people are given the opportunity to have a say on decisions that may affect them

Our Principal, Dr Wright met with the student council today - planning the end of term and brainstorming ideas for the coming academic year.

With dua filled hearts we said goodbye to our Year 11s today.

We pray Allah guides their paths to success in their education, careers and faith.

After weeks of revision and exams, they ended their last exam with relief and pastries.

Shout out to one of our Year 7 pupils who gifted each Year 11 students with gifts to say thank you for the kindness they showed her. These are the moments we celebrate at Iqra - the older students cared for the younger ones and were shown appreciation for it. 💜

Our Year 7 students brought ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ to life with their drama focus in English today.

The English department is buzzing with famous quotes, acting skills and creative expression!

“All hail, Macbeth, that shalt be king hereafter!”

Year 9s got into character today - they did freeze frames on Macbeth’s thinking.

Giggles, great ideas and excellent drama skills - well done, girls!

May Allah accept your duas and your sacrifice on this day of Eid ul Adha - Eid Mubarak to our students, their families and the wider Muslim community of Peterborough.

KS3 students will be reading Shakespeare at Iqra Academy in the Summer term. We are excited to read famous lines and dramatic stories.

For now, we celebrated student excellence in the classroom as we head towards a half-term break.

Our newly appointed Student Council met with Ms Z this week.

We set goals, shared new ideas and are looking forward to working together.
