With dua filled hearts we said goodbye to our Year 11s today.

We pray Allah guides their paths to success in their education, careers and faith.

After weeks of revision and exams, they ended their last exam with relief and pastries.

Shout out to one of our Year 7 pupils who gifted each Year 11 students with gifts to say thank you for the kindness they showed her. These are the moments we celebrate at Iqra - the older students cared for the younger ones and were shown appreciation for it. 💜

Our Year 7 students brought ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ to life with their drama focus in English today.

The English department is buzzing with famous quotes, acting skills and creative expression!

“All hail, Macbeth, that shalt be king hereafter!”

Year 9s got into character today - they did freeze frames on Macbeth’s thinking.

Giggles, great ideas and excellent drama skills - well done, girls!

May Allah accept your duas and your sacrifice on this day of Eid ul Adha - Eid Mubarak to our students, their families and the wider Muslim community of Peterborough.

KS3 students will be reading Shakespeare at Iqra Academy in the Summer term. We are excited to read famous lines and dramatic stories.

For now, we celebrated student excellence in the classroom as we head towards a half-term break.

Our newly appointed Student Council met with Ms Z this week.

We set goals, shared new ideas and are looking forward to working together.

As we approach the sacred month of Dhul Hijjah, marking the season of Hajj, some of our younger students made Eid cookies at school today.

We’d like to take this opportunity to ask for duas for all our students but especially for our Year 11s sitting their GCSE exams. May Allah make it easy and a success for them and their families (and us)!

Science Teacher KS4 (Part time)

We are looking for a dynamic and talented teacher to join our school. You will have a passion for learning and teaching, together with the skills to inspire and motivate our students.
You will be dedicated to the highest standards of teaching and learning and have good class control. You will be expected to exert your expertise to a variety of students and will be determined to deliver the very best results to assist in the overall growing reputation of Iqra Academy.

We may consider ECT candidates or Teachers in Training.

Teaching Assistant (8-10 hrs a week)

We are looking to appoint a part time TA to join our school. This position would suit an individual who is supportive and is able to encourage students to achieve their full potential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive can do attitude and have good communication and interpersonal skills. You will also need to have knowledge and experience of working with KS3/4 students.

Any appointment will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
