Another amazing week we’ve had! 🤍❤️
We packed so much into the week and had the best time together!
We started the week with some messy play using shaving foam. The children had so much fun making different shapes, clapping it between their hands, filling up buckets and, of course, chasing each other with it! 😂
This week we also spent some time learning about emotions. Using our emotion bears, the children were able to identify different feelings from the descriptions given to them and talk about how they might be feeling too. 💛
Out in the garden, we got the ribbons out to encourage lots of movement and coordination. The children loved making big circles, waving them high into the air and watching all of the beautiful colours dance around. 🌈
We also enjoyed a lovely trip down to the allotment to plant some cabbages. The children were completely in their element, getting stuck in, exploring all of the wonderful wildlife and admiring the plants growing around them. They even managed to squeeze in a few rides in the wheelbarrow! 😂🧑🏽🌾👩🏽🌾🥬
Towards the end of the week, the sunshine finally made an appearance! ☀️ We couldn’t let it go to waste, so we cooled off with water guns (we can’t promise the adults didn’t join in too… 😂🤫) followed by some well-earned ice lollies. 🍦💦
The sunshine may have disappeared again for now, but we’re hoping for another bright and fun-filled week ahead!
Have a lovely week, everyone! 🤍❤️

Last week was a lovely week 🤍
First of all, I just want to say a massive thank you for all of my (Amy’s) birthday wishes, cards and presents. I was truly spoilt! 🥹 There was also a beautiful Victoria sponge… but it got demolished before I managed to take a picture! 😂 It was amazing! Thank you all so much for your kindness and generosity. We are so grateful and incredibly lucky to have such wonderful families supporting us. 🤍
Last week we spent some time completing puzzles, helping to develop the children’s memory, problem-solving skills and shape and number recognition. They did an amazing job matching all of the shapes and numbers to the correct places – we were so proud of them! 🤍
We also enjoyed learning about different occupations and the important jobs people do in our community. The children loved listening to the clues and matching them to the correct job. They all did brilliantly! 👩🚒👮♀️👩⚕️👨🍳🤍
Of course, we made the most of the slightly cooler weather and spent lots of time enjoying the garden. 🌞💨
We had a lovely trip to the museum, where there was lots to explore and discover. 🤍
Another highlight of the week was a visit to the park to feed the squirrels, which the children absolutely loved! 🐿️🤍
Here’s to another fun-filled week making memories and enjoying the sunshine! 🌞🤍

A little look at what we got up to last week 🥵🌞🤍
It was definitely a much more chilled week than usual as we all tried our best to stay cool in the heat! ☀️
We enjoyed lots of water play in the mornings before it became too hot, with plenty of fun in the paddling pool and water trays. Safe to say the children loved all the splashing! 💦😅
We also made some England biscuits ready for the football last week 🏴⚽️
And of course… we couldn’t let a heatwave pass without treating ourselves to an ice cream! 🍦😋 It would’ve been rude not to!
It was certainly a challenging week for everyone with the high temperatures, so here’s hoping for a slightly cooler week ahead where we can get back to our usual adventures. 🤍
We hope you all managed to stay safe, keep cool, and enjoy the sunshine over the weekend. 🌞🤍

☀️❤️ HAPPY FATHER’S DAY! ❤️☀️
Last week our children made some beautiful crafts to give to their Dads and special father figures to celebrate Father’s Day. We hope you all loved them as much as we did! ❤️
We had a very busy week filled with lots of learning, exploring and fun!
🦷 We spent some time learning about the importance of brushing our teeth and the difference between healthy and unhealthy foods. The children loved reading stories and using the giant toothbrush to make the big teeth sparkle! ✨
⚽🏴 🏴We also celebrated England! The children had so much fun dancing to football songs, waving their flags and getting excited about the decorations. The balloons were definitely a favourite! 🎈
🎂 We celebrated a very special little one’s birthday too! The cake was a huge success, and by the end there were plenty of chocolate-covered smiles, hands and faces! 😂🥹
🌞 We enjoyed a lovely trip to Ferry Meadows, making the most of the sunshine. We played with bubbles, enjoyed the park, kicked a football around and, of course, fed the ducks! 🦆
It really has been a wonderful week full of laughter, learning and making special memories together. 🤍✨
We’re excited to see what this week has in store… I have a feeling a paddling pool may be making an appearance! ☀️💦🥵
A little reminder to everyone during this warm weather:
💧 Keep hydrated
🧴 Apply plenty of sun cream
🧢 Wear hats where possible
🍦 And don’t forget an ice lolly or two when needed! 😜🤍
Have a lovely week everyone! ☀️✨🤍

✨ That’s another weekend flown by ✈️💨
But here’s a little look at what we got up to last week 🤍
We continued exploring shapes in lots of different ways. The children especially loved our active shape game, where they had to run and find the shape we called out! It was a great way to combine learning with movement and fun.
We also worked on memory skills using a matching game. Of course, the babies wanted to join in too, and from the arms in the air, you can tell someone was very proud of themselves after a successful turn 🥹🤍
There were plenty of dance parties throughout the week, and our favourite song was definitely Hop Little Bunnies 🐰🎶
The children enjoyed exploring a variety of musical instruments, learning how they work and the different sounds they make. We sang lots of nursery rhymes and played along using the instruments, creating our own little musical performances 🎵
We also used our learning mats to practise letters, and the children absolutely smashed it! We love seeing their confidence grow each week 🌟
Friday was our fun day! We headed to the pitch and putt where the children enjoyed playing the arcade games. They loved collecting tickets and were fantastic at trying new games and giving everything a go 🎟️⛳
On the way back, we stopped at the town park and were lucky enough to feed the squirrels. The children absolutely loved this experience! They carefully placed the nuts down and watched as the squirrels collected them before running off up the trees 🐿️🌳
What a wonderful week full of learning, laughter, exploration and fun. We can’t wait to see what this week brings!
🤍 Here’s to another amazing week ahead.
HAPPY MONDAY EVERYONE! ☀️✨

Officially halfway through the year… crazy! 🤯
The sun may have disappeared 🥲 but the fun certainly hasn’t 😋☔️
We still managed to squeeze in a little bit of garden play this week — because a little rain never stops us! 🌧️💚
We’ve done lots of learning this week too! We’ve been working hard on recognising letters and matching uppercase and lowercase letters 🔤✨
We’ve also been exploring emotions and talking about what makes us feel happy, sad, angry and everything in between 😊😢😡 The children did amazingly with this activity and had some lovely discussions ❤️
We’ve also been working on shapes and numbers this week 🔺🔵🔢 The children are absolutely smashing these activities and we are so proud of the progress they are making every single day 🥹🌟
We did have some dance parties in between🕺💃🏼
We were also lucky enough to make it out for a day trip too (thank goodness the rain held off for some end-of-week fun 😅🌤️). We explored the museum and looked at all the different topics they had available. Afterwards, we went to see the big dinosaur at the cathedral 🦖 There was so much to explore and we thoroughly enjoyed learning about all the different events that have happened throughout history!
Thank you all for another wonderful week 🤍
We hope you all have a blissful weekend full of fun 😜
See you all Monday 🤍

☀️ What a week last week was! ☀️
What a fun-filled week we had with lots of sunshine, laughter and outdoor play! 🌊☀️ Of course, with the sunny weather, the pool had to come out! The children absolutely loved splashing around in the pool, playing with the water tables and enjoying the sprinkler mat. Safe to say Amy and Julie definitely got splashed a few times too… but hearing all the laughter made it completely worth it! 😂💦
We also got creative with some arts and crafts using old boxes, turning them into an amazing castle 🏰 The children explored painting using different brushes, sponges and even their hands! They got so creative that I think they thought painting Amy and Julie was part of the activity too 😂🎨 We all had so much fun!
The sand pit has also been a big hit this week! The children enjoyed making different shapes and patterns and, of course, building plenty of sandcastles 🏖️
We also enjoyed a lovely trip to the boat house where we went to see the ducks and enjoyed some snacks along the way 🦆🤍
We hope you all had a lovely weekend and enjoyed the sunshine as much as we did ☀️🤍
And to all of those going back to school today — enjoy your last term before summer! ☀️📚🤍

Another week has flown by💨
We’ve been up to so much this week!
We’ve had some lovely paintings created by the children, inspired by our current story The Hungry Caterpillar 🐛🎨
We’ve also been busy with play-dough fun, where the children got really creative. We saw pizzas, love-heart spaghetti, and one little one even made figures of me and Julie… although Julie may only have one leg now🫢😂
We decorated some shortbread biscuits too, and the children absolutely loved the sprinkles… as did the floor!😂 Fun hasn’t really been had unless there’s a little mess along the way☺️
We also enjoyed some outdoor games when the sun finally decided to make an appearance 🌞🙌🏼
To finish off a lovely week, we had a little trip to the town park 🌳🌞
We hope you all have a lovely bank holiday and enjoy the sunshine. Remember to stay hydrated and wear lots of sun cream 🫶🏼
Hopefully, this is officially the start of summer 😊🌞

A little look into what we got up to last week✨
We worked on some threading activities with the children to help build up their fine motor skills, of course keeping it within the theme of our current story, The Hungry Caterpillar🐛🍎
We also did lots of singing and music activities to help some of our younger children develop new words and build their vocabulary🎶✨
Our older children worked hard on finding the correct word to finish each sentence — and they absolutely smashed it!📝🤍
We spent time recognising letters and matching them to objects beginning with that sound, some of the older children practised writing their letters independently✏️
We’ve continued lots of activities linked to The Hungry Caterpillar, including 1-1 reading time with some of our younger children so they could take in even more from the story📚 We’ve also been working through our Hungry Caterpillar workbook, where the older children had to find all the different foods the caterpillar was looking for🍓🧁🍐
And lastly, we’ve had one little one absolutely smash the start of his potty training journey🤍✨
Such a lovely week full of learning, confidence building, and lots of fun!

Oopsie… we forgot to post our weekly update last week as we were away at the weekend🤍
Last week was full of fun and creativity! We finished making our birds and turtles, and the children were so proud of what they had created — and rightly so, they looked amazing! 🐢🐦✨
We also worked on verb words, with the children acting them out. The dancing was definitely a favourite activity 💃🏼🕺
We were lucky enough to enjoy another trip to the park, followed by a lovely picnic 🛝🧺☀️
We also took a trip to the library where the children enjoyed exploring different books and doing some colouring 📚🖍️
Our story wall is coming along beautifully. The children have produced some fantastic work around The Hungry Caterpillar and are really enjoying the story 🐛🦋🍎
Thank you for another lovely week — here’s to another one 😌
HAPPY MONDAY
