Whiz Kids Day Nursery Lynchwood

Dear Parents/Carers,

This Thursday 31st October is Halloween and we will be having a Halloween party! The children will have access to free flowing through Preschool and Toddlers with staff supervision at all times. We have many fun activities planned for the children to participate in such as, cake decorating, messy play, face painting and much more, followed by a spooky buffet lunch! It would be amazing if your child/ren dressed up for the occasion along with staff who will also be dressing up! Keep an eye out for pictures towards the end of the week! 🎃

This week Ladybirds have enjoyed baking pumpkin shortbread biscuits! 🎃

This week Ladybirds have enjoyed carving pumpkins for Halloween! We then used the inside of our pumpkin to explore in our messy tray! 🎃

Thank you to all our families that came to our annual picnic and birthday celebrations at Ferry Meadows. We had great fun spending time with you all. Photos will be uploaded on Monday. A big thank you also to all the staff for helping to make the day run so smoothly. 🥳🎂🎈🥪❤️

The beautiful sunshine has joined us for our Graduation this afternoon, preparations are well underway

This afternoon the Toddlers enjoyed a Teddy Bears Picnic in the garden. They all brought their favourite teddy bear, sang songs and read 'We're going on a bear hunt'. They had some delicious Bear snacks, including bear biscuits they made. It was lots of fun and even the sun made an appearance 🐻

This morning the Toddlers went for a walk through the woods. We were very excited to splash in muddy puddles, and collect leaves and sticks to bring back to nursery. We sang lots of songs on our walk - our favourite was 'We're Going On A Bear Hunt'!

This morning we had a very exciting visit from Anne-Marie from Notcutts Garden Centres! The amazing team kindly donated two Silver Birch trees for our garden, and Anne-Marie worked together with the children to plant them. Thank you so much for our new trees, and creating a wonderful experience for the children. We cannot wait to watch them grow 🌳

The children have been busy today with activities for Earth Day 2024. The babies enjoyed exploring coloured rice with different animals from around the world. The toddlers have made their own Earth using blue and green playdough, used tweezers to collect cardboard and put it in the Recycling bucket, and made beautiful artwork 😀🌎
