This means many schools will be closed on the above dates. ABC Kids Nursery will be offering 'Holiday Club' for any children affected by these closures for just £15 for the whole day!!!

Good morning!

We are finally back on after a little break! I'm sure by now you have all met the setting's new manager; Saleha.

Please say hello and make her feel welcome as the children have!

We will be using this space to update parents on any news, events and also what the children have been up to during the week.

My last day managing ABC Kids Nursery is today, as you are fully aware.

Though saying goodbye makes me sad, I did not come to this decision lightly. I'm going to leave to start a new career. I want to express my gratitude to all the parents for their love, support, and trust in me. It has been a delight to care for the children, therefore I want to thank them all for being the reason I came to work. I have wonderful memories of all of you.

Last but not least, I want to thank the wonderful team, I had the privilege of working with. You all were like family to me. You all put forth a lot of effort, go above and beyond, and do your best for every child. You have done a fantastic job and been a tremendous help!

🎓A wonderful day....we had for our preschool graduation ceremony.

It's always an emotional time to watch you go but it has been an honour for our team to be a part of the children's early years and we are so proud of the creative and caring individuals they have become. We held a graduation ceremony where children were presented with a certificate.

Finally we would just like to wish all our school leavers all the best as they start their new adventure, and for those returning in September we can't wait to see you back at ABC Kids Nursery and meet some new faces.

Jubilee celebrations!❤️💙

The upcoming Queen's Jubilee has provided children with an incredible learning opportunity. We've discussed the Queen's vital role. We did a number of activities last week, including crown making, tuff trays with the British flag, painting castles and painting union jack pots as part of our garden project. We had party games, dancing, cooking activities, and a picnic in the sunshine, with everyone dressed up in their best costumes for the occasion. This exemplifies true British values, and we were quite enthusiastic about our jubilee picnic on Friday.

Queens Jubliee- Parent workshop!

Today's parent workshop at ABC Kids Nursery was a fun day, as we shared Jubilee activities with our parents and gave our children a chance to share some of the other activities they do. The children have been very busy baking scones (for which we had a cake sale), decorating, face painting, and doing arts and crafts including colouring the Queen's pictures and making union jack flags. Thank you to all of the parents who attended the Jubilee workshop.

As we continue to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee, we invite all of our children and staff to dress up in red, white, or blue/prince or princess attire in honour of our Queen's Platinum Jubilee. We will be doing various activities related to the royal family and the Queen herself, as well as having a picnic with the children on Friday the 27th.

Gardening Project!

Looking back on brighter times, our amazing children have worked tirelessly to bring our garden back to life. The children have been assisting our adults with watering, weeding, and planting.

This Project presents many opportunities for young children’s ideas to be valued, their creativity to be encouraged, their interests to be nurtured, and for their learning needs to be met. By giving them a certain project to work on, it helps encourage children’s curiosity and help them to ask questions, the study of local everyday topics becomes interesting and relevant to them. Projects can be defined from conversations about everyday topics which are worthy of being included in an educational program. Projects emerge from the questions children raise and develop according to their particular interests.

Eid Party!

In Preschool Nafeesa shared some Ramadan items that she bought from home and talked to us about the celebration of Ramadan and Eid. She shared a story with us and told us about the things Muslims do to celebrate. The children enjoyed trying on some traditional Muslim clothes, learning about the prayer mats and tasting dates, which Muslim's often have when they break their fast.

We held a Eid Party at our nursery, the children had lots of fun and were very excited, they participated in a variety of activities such as pass the parcel and musical statues. They also enjoyed having a range of party food after. Children were also dressed up in their cultural outfits/eid clothes as part of celebrating Eid in a fun and exciting way, we also had special Eid treats to take home!

A huge thank you to all of our lovely parents/carers for their participation by donating food which all of the children thoroughly enjoyed.
