Don’t worry, we’ve listened to your feedback and arranged a number of additional pop-up events, giving you more opportunities to donate, swap, or pick up school uniforms.

We’re also pleased to be attending the Dogsthorpe 80th Anniversary Event, where you’ll be able to access the uniform scheme and find out more about how it works.

We’re always looking to add more events where possible, so please keep an eye on our social media channels for the latest dates, times and updates.

School Leavers Party 2026!
It is that time of year again where we begin to say goodbye to our school leavers as they start the next big chapter in their education 'big' school. Firstly, we must have a school leavers party to celebrate our 2026 school leavers and create a few final memories of our time together, where we have learnt, laughed and danced our way through our early years milestones. What better way to celebrate than a party at Big Sky! All our school leavers had a fantastic time playing with their friends, nursery staff and parents, there was big smiles all around.

This 5 week online course focuses on some of the challenges you and your family might face during your child’s development. We want to support parents with children aged 2-5years with; Routines, Toileting, Boundaries/Sharing and Managing Emotions.
We will provide leaflets, emotion cards, routine charts etc to help you
implement strategies at home.

🚽 Potty Training: Top Tips for a Smooth Transition! 🚽

Starting potty training is a huge milestone! It can feel a bit daunting, but teamwork makes the dream work. Since your little one spends so much time with us at nursery, we want to partner with you for a stress-free transition.

Here is our quick guide to potty success:

✨ 1. Are They Ready?
Look for signs like dry nappies for 2 hours, hiding when they go and can pull trousers their up and down.

👖 2. Keep Clothes Simple

When toddlers need to go, they need to go NOW!
✅Yes: Elasticated joggers, leggings, and skirts.
❎No: Dungarees, belts, skinny jeans, or stiff buttons.

🗣️ 3. Teamwork is Key
Before you start, chat with your child's key worker and any relatives who would also look after your child so they can match your:

💬Words: (e.g., wee, poo, potty)
🕒Routine: (e.g., sitting every 45 minutes)
🏆Rewards: (e.g., sticker charts)

🎒 4. Pack the Extras!
Accidents are totally normal. Please pack a nursery bag with:

🩲3–4 changes of clothes (pants, trousers, socks)
👟An extra pair of shoes (accidents pool downward!)
💦Plastic bags for wet clothes
