Children can attend full day or part- day sessions, with a minimum of four half day sessions per week. We also give sibling discounts for 2 or more children.

We offer both Full-Term and Term-Time care.

Nursery Educational Funding:
Any child between the ages of 3 and 5 is eligible to receive Nursery Educational Funding. Parents can receive funding assistance for up to 15 hours and there is additional 15 hours that can be claimed if criteria is met to bring a total of 30 hours funding.

The nursery will claim the grant on your behalf and deduct it from the fees detailed above. Please see our T&C’s for the refund calculation. Be aware that you will not be able to claim funding for your child if coming back from Parental Leave during the term that has already started.

Tax Free Childcare:

Tax-Free Childcare can help with the cost of paying for childcare. You’ll need to set up a childcare account, which both you and the government will pay into. You can then use this money to pay your childcare provider.

For every £8 you pay into the account, the government will top it up by £2. The total top up you can get for each child is £500 every 3 months (up to £2,000 a year). This goes up to £1,000 every 3 months if your child is disabled (up to £4,000 a year). You’ll usually need to be working (or returning to work) and your child must be 11 or younger (16 or younger if they’re disabled).

No Session Fee if you attend all year round, you will not be charged a session fee.

For hours exceeding your funding:
The first 3 hours (for 22-hour stretched) or 4 hours (for 11-hour stretched) are charged at our daily rate divided by ten.
Any hours beyond this are charged at our standard AM, PM, or Full Day rates.

Apply for Reception school place if your child is born between 1 September 2022 and 31 August 2023.

Apply for Junior school place if your child is born between 1 September 2019 and 31 August 2020 and attends infant school.

Allocation will take place Primary National Offer Day - 16 April 2027.

On Wednesday, we welcomed some very special visitors to the nursery! The children enjoyed trying on uniforms and exploring the equipment used every day. They had a wonderful time asking questions, sharing big smiles, and exchanging high fives.🚨

To celebrate the visit, the children crafted their own police badges to show our guests. They also joined in a fun hide-and-seek activity, searching through shredded paper to discover essential items police officers use to help others.🚓

It was a valuable experience for the children to learn how the police keep us safe and why it is always important to ask for help when needed.🚔👮

📱 Are your under-fives safe online? A Quick Guide for Parents:👶

With the rollout of the UK's Online Safety Act, digital spaces are changing fundamentally. Platforms are now legally required to step up user safety, but parental oversight remains the absolute baseline for protecting our little ones' early development.

If you have a child under five, here is your quick, no-nonsense checklist based on the latest official national guidelines to keep them safe:

🚨 1. Active Supervision & Location

☑️ Supervise Constantly: Always sit with your child during screen time. Co-viewing turns screen time into a valuable bonding and language-building experience.

☑️ Common Areas Only: Keep all tablets, phones, and laptops out of private spaces like bedrooms and bathrooms. Monitoring is much easier when it's done in the living room or kitchen!🔒

2. Lockdown Your Parental Controls

Tech platforms are safer by default now, but they aren't fool proof. Take five minutes to audit your home tech:

☑️ Network-Level Filters: Log into your home broadband router to block age-inappropriate content across your entire Wi-Fi network.

☑️ Remote Monitoring: Use Apple Family Sharing or Google Family Link to remotely approve apps and set automatic time limits.

☑️ Block Stranger Contact: Check the settings on every streaming or gaming app to permanently toggle off private messaging and friend requests.

☑️ PIN Protect App Stores: Put a biometric or PIN lock on digital marketplaces to completely stop accidental or unauthorised in-app purchases.

The UK Government's official early years screen time guidance establishes firm national baselines:

☑️ Under 2s: Zero independent screen time. The only exception is interactive video calls to family.

☑️ Ages 2 to 5: A strict cap of no more than 1 hour per day, broken into short chunks of 30 minutes or less.

☑️ Mealtime Ban: Keep breakfast, lunch, and dinner completely device-free to encourage vital eye contact and conversation.

Yesterday we had an extra exciting visitor at the nursery... a real-life firefighter! 👨‍🚒 The children were absolutely thrilled to welcome him and couldn't wait to learn all about how firefighters help keep us safe!
The highlight of the day? Some of our lucky little learners got to try on the heavy firefighter gear! 🧑‍🚒 It was super heavy, but it keeps firefighters safe when they do their important work! 🧱🔥
We also learned some super important fire safety tips to keep everyone safe:
👀 See a fire? Tell an adult straight away!
🚶‍♂️ Time to leave? Walk calmly and quietly outside with your grown-up.
📞 Need help? Call 999 and ask for the fire service! 🚨

Every year on 28th August, we come together to celebrate Makaton International Awareness Day. It is a special opportunity to reflect on the power of communication and the positive impact Makaton has on people's lives around the world.

This Makaton International Awareness Day, the Makaton charity would like to honour the connections made possible through Makaton and continue to spread inclusion, communication, and understanding across the world, creating the theme ‘Together’.

Makaton helps build connections between people of all ages and abilities. From sharing a smile and signing “hello” in the classroom, to singing and signing with friends at social clubs, Makaton plays a vital role in creating meaningful friendships.

At Broadway Nursery we are a Makaton accredited educational setting, one of the only two in Peterborough! We celebrated ‘Together’ by having a nursery family tea party! In preparation for our tea party, the children were learning the signs “together”, “friends”, “family” and “love”. They decorated printed Makaton signs and created salt dough photo stands. During the tea party, we engaged in conversations, sharing giggles and laughter. After our tea party, together we read a book and sang nursery rhymes together, using our Makaton signs to enhance our singing!
