This morning the Pre School children, made the pancake mixture, ready for our nursery cook to cook and flip them for our pudding 🥞😋

We are often asked "When is the best time to book a nursery place?"...

The simple answer is, it's never too early.

We are currently booking through to mid-2023, therefore would suggest that those currently expecting a baby and planning on needing a nursery place, may wish to consider viewing nurseries now to avoid any disappointment for the desired days.

Due to retirement, we are currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Nursery Manager to join our fantastic team on a full-time basis. First Steps Nursery is based in Maxey withinin a beautiful rural setting close to the town of Market Deeping. We are looking for someone passionate about making a difference to our children and staff, whilst building positive relationships and enhancing the good name of our nursery. The successful candidate will play a key role in demonstrating and delivering outstanding quality care within the EYFS framework, whilst inspiring other staff to follow. This is an outstanding opportunity for the right candidate to progress themselves in the Early Years sector.

You must be a highly motivated team player who is also good at working on their own initiative. In addition, we are looking for:

- Qualification to NVQ Level 3 or higher in childcare with an in-depth knowledge of safeguarding and Early Years Foundation Stage

- SENCO and first aid training are desirable but not mandatory.

- You must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working within a nursery and managerial experience.

We are looking at this ideally being a full time position but there is potential scope to have reduced working hours. Our nursery is open from 7.30am to 6pm.
