Hi
This is Andy.
As we reach the end of yet another school year I have to announce that, from 31st July 2024, I will no longer be involved with Peterborough Learning & Teaching Associates or with the wider world of education in general. I have decided to retire from the profession to focus on my well-being and my part time role as a visitor experience officer at National Trust Sutton Hoo.
I have been involved in primary education since September 1987 - 37 years. A very long time!
I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks and best wishes to all schools with whom I have worked in my various teaching and advisory capacities. I have met some amazing teachers, TAs, governors, support staff and pupils over the years and am a better person for having known them all.
To those still in the profession: Enjoy your summer break and I wish you all well as you continue to do your utmost to provide the best educational experiences for all of our children and young people. You are special people!

Absolutely love this!
Has writing really suffered in your school during and since the Covid restrictions - perhaps more so than some other subjects? If so, you are not alone! But what to do about it - that's the big question!
From September 2022, working alongside The Learning Partnership, (https://www.facebook.com/TheLearningPartnership) PLTA is pleased to be able to offer bespoke and tailored support and guidance to assist you in finding ways to address the issues you may have in writing across the whole school.
You can get ahead of the game by dropping a DM to Andy at PLTA for further information right now, but also please do keep an eye out here for further details which will be coming very soon!
