We arrived in style, we laughed, we danced and we had a fabulous time! OBA’s Year 11 Prom at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Peterborough was an astounding success!

Thank you to local Business Grant Ceilings & Interiors Ltd. who donated £500 to help us reduce the cost of tickets and make it as inclusive as possible for all our students.

Huge congratulations to Leah in Year 9, who has been crowned the school's winner of the Art Bytes competition! 🎨🏆

Last week, Leah's outstanding artwork was exhibited at Kettle's Yard Art Gallery in Cambridge as part of this prestigious national competition an incredible achievement and a testament to her creativity, talent, and dedication.

We are immensely proud of Leah and all that she has accomplished. Congratulations on this well-deserved success!

Year 10 & 12 Art and Photography students are having a fantastic day in London despite the heat! ☀️🎨📸

This morning we explored the incredible collections at Tate Britain, and we’re now waiting for the boat to take us along the Thames to Tate Modern for our second gallery visit of the day. A busy day full of creativity, inspiration, and unforgettable experiences!

☀️ HOT WEATHER UNIFORM UPDATE ☀️

With high temperatures forecast this week, we’ve adjusted our uniform to keep students safe and comfortable.

From Tuesday 23rd until further notice, students can wear EITHER:
1️⃣ Full OBA uniform – blazers not required
2️⃣ Full OBA PE kit + trainers – Only official PE shorts. No cycling shorts, hot-pants or other shorts please

Please help us by:
💧 Sending a refillable water bottle
🧴 Applying sun cream before school

Total Clothing in-store sizing event - Monday 29th June.
No appointment is required, families can simply drop in at a time that suits them.

🎉🥾 They’ve done it!

A huge congratulations to all of our Silver DofE teams! Every group has now successfully completed their expedition—and with it, achieved their Silver Duke of Edinburgh’s Award! 🌟

Across the week in the stunning Peak District National Park, students have shown exceptional teamwork, resilience, navigation skills, and determination from start to finish. They should be incredibly proud of everything they have achieved. 💪

Students will now contact parents directly with their ETA for arrival back at the academy once we are on the road.

Our Student Leadership Team are kicking off fundraising for next year’s Sixth Form Prom and we need your support!
Next week on Monday 22nd and Friday 26th they will be selling ice lollies at break and lunchtime - a great way to cool down during the heatwave.

All ice lollies will be 50p/£1 and both cash and card will be accepted.

🌟🥾 Day 2 Complete!

Another fantastic day on expedition for our Silver DofE students! All teams are now safely back at camp after a very successful day on the hills.

The students have continued to impress with their outstanding teamwork, resilience, and near-perfect navigation throughout the day. Their confidence and independence have grown with every mile, and they should be incredibly proud of what they have achieved so far. 💪🗺️

With two successful days behind them, spirits remain high as they look ahead to the next stage of their adventure. Well done, everyone! 👏🏕️
