⚽️⚽️⚽️Year 8 football vs Bourne Grammar⚽️⚽️⚽️

Mr Stubbs stepped in at the last minute to take the Year 8 football team over to play Bourne Grammar. Bourne won’t he game 5-1 but the stand out from the Deepings players was the work rate, camaraderie, leadership and teamwork that was evident from every player. Mr Stubbs thoroughly enjoyed getting back to his PE teacher roots and was delighted with the attitude and application of the players. MOM - Lloris 🧡•🤝•🏆

It was national offer day earlier this week for Year 6. What better way to welcome students to our school than get them in for an early transition day! We love to meet our new students sooner rather than later to support the transition from primary to secondary, boost confidence and gain familiarity with our school. A invitation and little welcome gift has been sent out to all our new students - we look forward to seeing you on Friday! 🧡•🤝•🏆

👏👏👏The great Year 10 Sports Leaders were fantastic ambassadors for the Deepings School yesterday at the primary school cluster cross country competition. We received exceptional feedback from staff and primary students about their exemplary conduct and auppprt at the event 🧡•🤝•🏆

⭐️⭐️⭐️Year 10 School Games Futsal tournament today. Girls came 3rd overall! Lost 2-0 in the 1st/2nd playoff and then won the 3rd/4th 1-0 in the final kick of the game!!
Player of the tournament was Sienna.
Well done girls! 🧡•🤝•🏆

👏⚽️🥅Whoops! What were we thinking?!?! We forgot to post about our amazing Year 11 Football team who qualified for the Lincs Schools County Cup semi final last Thursday! What a team 🏆👏⚽️

Mr Mann reports; Year 11 County Cup Quarterfinals away win against Sir William Robertson Academy, 4-4 after full time and 4-2 winners on penalties. Some outstanding performances across the team on a really windy and wet afternoon, MOTM goes to Theo S, two goals and working incredibly hard across the pitch, but also a huge shout out to Ben H who was the penalty shootout hero with two amazing saves! Onto the Semi-Finals we go.

Another week for running club. We had some new members this week. The sun was shining on us this week which definitely helped. We looked at some interval training this week, with students that have been coming from the start starting to see the rewards in this activity.

We are excited to launch the TCS London Marathon Mini challenge. This will take place on the Tuesday the 31st of March at 3pm. If you would like to sign up to this event, please can you see Mr Hewitt.
