ClassCharts is currently experiencing a technical problem which is causing the site to be very slow/unavailable. We are aware that this has been affecting staff, students and parents/carers for most of the day and we are unsure at this time when it will be resolved. As soon as the company gives us an update we will let you know.

Due to a lengthy power failure onsite last night, there is currently no internal or remote access.

This week we replaced our 11-year-old Dell core switching which supplied dual 1Gbit/s links to edge/servers with a shiny new Aruba-based setup with upgraded dual 10Gbit/s links - Making our internal network much faster & allowing us to benefit from our upgraded 2Gbit/s Internet connection going live shortly.
The Dell equipment has definitely earnt its keep but we took the opportunity to tidy up the spaghetti junction that had emerged over the years!

Today we've received some shiny new WiFi 6 (802.11ax) Unifi wireless points to be installed in high use WiFi areas, such as Post 16 - Providing a much faster experience for our staff & students.

Over the coming term, we are rolling out “2-Factor Authentication” (2fa) for all student office 365 accounts when accessing IT Services outside of school.

We've had a busy summer here at Ken Stimpson - With over 70 new teacher PCs installed at the front of every classroom, as well as 90 new computers in 3 IT suites (1 of which is entirely new to us!) We've also setup a new classroom in our library area with an Interactive TV screen & laptops for student use.
Oh and we can't forget the amazing new wall wrap in the science corridors fully designed by our talented Miss Collishaw - When you're next in Block 1/3 be sure to check it out!

Please note there will be no access to any on site IT services from 08:00 on Wednesday 2nd June 2021 - This is to enable works to place on the electrical supply in the server room.
We don’t yet have a time for completion, as it’ll depend on the engineers but we will let you know as soon as we’re back up.

No break for us this Easter, we've been busy setting up William Law CofE primary school's shiny new laptops and running network cable around the site - We're proud to support one of our local primary schools and look forward to seeing how they use the new equipment.

Morning all -
We are currently experiencing an Internet connectivity fault on site, which may mean you are currently unable to logon to any services.
We have spoken to the ISP this morning who have confirmed they have a circuit failure & an engineer is on route to the affected location.
We will update you as soon as we hear more.
