Topping Out Milestone at Great Haddon Primary School !
Under glorious sunshine, we celebrated a key landmark with a traditional steel signing and topping out for the new 2-form entry primary school and nursery in Peterborough. This exciting project, procured via the SCAPE framework for Peterborough City Council, will deliver 420 places plus nursery provision as part of the Hampton Academies Trust. Designed by Lungfish Architects with PM/QS support from Fusion (part of RSK), the sustainable, pupil-focused building features modern learning spaces, outdoor play areas, sports facilities, and net-zero ambitions. A huge step forward for the growing Great Haddon community.

A Big Thank You to Our New Reception Families!
Thank you to all of our families for engaging so positively with our home visits and for bringing your children to the Stay and Play sessions. It has been wonderful to meet the children, start getting to know them and see their excitement about joining the Great Haddon family. 😊

A reminder of our September arrangements:
Reception Class: 9:00am – 11:30am on Thursday 3rd September and Friday 4th September and Full-time school starts on Monday 7th September

Year 1: Children are expected to attend full-time from Thursday 3rd September

We are incredibly proud to announce that the PE Department at Hampton College has been awarded the prestigious Platinum School Games Mark, the highest accolade available through the School Games programme. This outstanding achievement recognises our long-term commitment to providing high-quality physical education, inclusive sporting opportunities, and a culture that encourages every student to participate, compete, and develop a lifelong love of being active. Achieving Platinum status is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our staff, students, leaders, and wider school community, who have consistently demonstrated excellence in school sport over a number of years. This award celebrates not only sporting success but also the values of teamwork, resilience, leadership, and inclusion that are at the heart of everything we do. We are delighted to receive this recognition and remain committed to inspiring every student to enjoy the many benefits of physical activity and sport.
