Congratulations to our incredible Year 13 students on their Post-16 Results Day achievements! 🎉

Today we are celebrating not only outstanding results, but the ambitious futures our students have worked so hard to secure.

From university places and degree apprenticeships to specialist career pathways, our students are taking their next steps with confidence and determination.

🌟 Standout achievements include:
🎓 A***n Gill Ramudamu achieved A* Maths, A* Further Maths, A Chemistry and A Physics and will be studying Physics at UCL.
🎓 Edward Watchhorn achieved A* Computer Science, A Maths, B Further Maths and B Physics and will be studying Computer Science at the University of Bath.
🎓 Maimuna Hussian achieved A Biology, B Chemistry and B Maths and will be studying Optometry at Cardiff University.
🎮 Ryan Fisher achieved A* Computer Science, B Maths, B Physics and B EPQ and will be progressing to The Game Assembly as a Game Programmer.
🔧 Our Engineering T Level students also achieved excellent success:
✈️ Riley Beckett will study Aerospace Engineering at Kingston University.
🏗️ Evelina Markeviciute has secured a Degree Apprenticeship in Civil Engineering with Skanska, building on the success of her industry placement.
⚙️ Charlie Kavanagh will study Mechanical Engineering at Anglia Ruskin University.

All achieved a Merit in the T Level Technical Qualification in Design and Development for Engineering and Manufacturing.

We are also incredibly proud of:
✅ Abigail, progressing to a Degree Apprenticeship with the NHS after her successful T Level Placement.
✅ George, who has secured an apprenticeship with Toyota Forklifts.

A huge thank you to our staff, families, employers and industry partners who have supported our students throughout their journey.

We can't wait to see what the future holds for the Class of 2026. You have made the whole GPUTC community proud! 💙

🌞🚍 A Great Day Trip Gets Underway! 🚍🌞
If you drove past the school this morning, you may have thought we were carrying out a fire drill! 👀

In reality, it was the exciting sight of students and staff getting organised ready to board their coaches. As a procession of coaches set off for Hunstanton for a day by the seaside with the majority of the school.

With blue skies overhead, sunshine already making an appearance, and a real buzz of excitement in the air, there was a fantastic atmosphere from the moment students arrived. From beach walks and ice creams to time with friends and making memories with lots of activities planned from RC Buggies to Football and reading by the sea, everyone was looking forward to a well-deserved day out.

We hope all our students and staff have a wonderful day and return with plenty of stories to share! 🌊☀️🍦

✨ And they’re off! ✈️🌍

Our final Overseas Work Experience group departed early this morning from Peterborough, heading to Cyprus 🇨🇾 — and what a journey this project has been.

This has undoubtedly been one of our biggest programmes to date. Along the way, we’ve faced some challenges outside of our control, which have been disappointing—not only for us as a team, but also for the students and families affected. We are incredibly grateful for the patience, understanding and continued support shown throughout.

Today also marks something really special. As part of our 10-year anniversary celebrations, we are incredibly proud that one of the staff accompanying this group is our former Principal—the leader who opened the school a decade ago. What an amazing, full-circle moment and a fitting way to celebrate the journey we’ve been on together. 💙

We’re hopeful that this group will return with just as many inspiring memories, new skills and valuable experiences as our Malta students shared so brilliantly with us recently. 🌟

We’re already looking forward to seeing their journey unfold and sharing some fantastic photos with you all! 📸
