While checking on our veggies in the vegetable patch, the cucumbers and tomatoes are almost ready for us to eat at snack time. The preschoolers found a ladybird 🐞

Preschool were very fascinated by the ladybird and watched as it crawled on one another.
One child said “it’s tickling me”
Another said “it’s red”
and another counted the spots and said it had 10!!!!!

The children all remembered kind hands and to be careful because the ladybird is a living creature 🐞

Toddlers have enjoyed making ginger bread men. They developed their fine motor skills as they poured and mixed the ingredients together. An adult supported the children and role modelled. Later on they decorated their gingerbread men using icing and sprinkles, they even had a little nibble🍪🧁

As they did so they spoke about what they like in their burgers, the colours of the dough and how we cook them. We talked about adding some lettuce and tomatoes to our burgers and what else might taste good.
