Busy Bunnies Braybrook Nursery

Last week baby room worked together to make a yummy fruit salad 🍓🍍🍇

Babies we’re encouraged to use the child safety knife’s to cut and chop their own fruit, they also listened to the fruit salad song by the wiggles and danced to the music. Coping action and moving their bodies to the sounds 🍊🍌🍎

Celebrating the class of 2026 🎉

This week toddlers have been developing their physical skills in a variety of ways 🧗‍♂️

They have enjoyed:
- Climbing and jumping on the soft play
- Scooping and pouring with water play and making playdough 💧
- Riding and chasing with scooters 🛴
- Spraying with water bottles 🧴
- balancing in the garden ⚖️

And so much more. It has been a fun week in toddler room 🙂

This week we have started to plant our vegetables in our vegetable patch. We selected the vegetables we know the children and guinea pigs like. As we planted them we spoke about what they needed to grow and what they would look like them grown. We talked about how we would need to water and w**d the area to help the vegetables. Fingers crossed we have strawberries, tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers.

This week preschool have enjoyed hopscotch in the garden 🔢

Preschool developed their physical skills when jumping from each number, they also balanced on one leg. Preschool counted each number and repeated several times showing delight 🙂

This week babies have celebrated “national bee day” 🐝

They enjoyed yellow gloop messy play, using their fingers and hands to explore and talking about big and small bees 🟡 They also explored and taste tested “honey hoops” in messy play, and counted 1-5.

They made their very own “bees” using paint and recycled toilet tubes 🐝

They have a lovey day celebrating all things bee 🐝🙂

A busy week in preschool room….
Preschool have had a lovely week exploring all areas of play and learning 🙂
We have enjoyed learning about he works around us when planting and w**ding in the garden. Also looking at insects and bug hunts 🦟

We have enjoyed the parachute inside. Developing our coordinating and memory skills 🌈

We have also enjoyed all messy play. Could dough, animal/farm messy play. Also developing out hand and eye coordination when threading hoops onto spaghetti 🐷

It has been a fun filled week 😀

You may have seen in the news information regarding safer sleeping, especially within nurseries. All staff this week have completed safer sleep training from the Lullaby Trust, we also follow all guidelines set out within the Early Years Foundation Stage. If anyone would like any advice on safer sleep please speak to member of staff.

Baby room this week have enjoyed getting messy. They explored balls in shaving foam, they mixed food colouring to make different coloured icing and explored scooping and pouring with water play. It’s been a fun week so far in baby room 😁
