🌟 Thomas Deacon Academy ended the year with two fantastic Character Activity Days, bringing its Character Curriculum to life.
🏃‍♂️🎭 Students took part in sport, cultural performances, community activities and celebrations of identity, showing confidence, courage, commitment and courtesy throughout.
🏅 A special highlight was a visit from Sean Rose, Double Winter Paralympian, who shared his inspiring story of resilience and presented character awards.
🌍 The academy also celebrated its rich diversity, with students proudly sharing their heritage through music, poetry, cultural dress, flags and performances.
🤝 The days also included a special session recognising Roma Gypsy heritage, highlighting the importance of understanding, representation and belonging.
👏 A brilliant celebration of character, culture and community at TDA!

🌟 A huge well done to all of our Year 6 pupils who joined us for Transition Days on Wednesday and Thursday this week.

🧪💃🎶 The pupils threw themselves into an action-packed programme of activities, enjoying exciting taster lessons including science experiments, dance sessions and hands-on music workshops with a range of instruments.
👏 Most importantly, they represented themselves brilliantly throughout both days. Their enthusiasm, excellent behaviour and positive attitude were a credit to them – they were absolute stars from start to finish!
