Jack Hunt Academy is delighted to invite prospective parents and Year 6 students to our Open Evening on Thursday 24 September 2026, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm

This is a fantastic opportunity to:

Talk to staff and current students

Explore our impressive curriculum and provision for all learners

Discover the exciting enrichment activities and opportunities we offer

Learn about the pastoral support available when moving from primary to secondary school

Find out what life is really like as a Jack Hunt student

The Headteacher’s Talks will take place at 5.30pm and 6.30pm - Doors open at 5:15pm

For families unable to attend, we will also be hosting Headteacher Information Tours for Year 6 children and parents. Booking for these tours will open on our website after the Open Evening.

We warmly welcome parents and students looking to join Year 7 in September 2027.

🎉🐯 Happy 19th Birthday to Little Tigers Day Nursery 🐯🎉

Today we celebrate an amazing 19 years of Little Tigers ❤️

A massive thank you to all of our incredible practitioners, past and present, for the dedication, love and hard work you put into everything you do. You truly are amazing, and we couldn’t do it without you 🌟

We would also like to say a huge thank you to all of our wonderful families, both past and present, for trusting us and allowing us to be part of your children’s lives over the past 19 years 🥰

Over the years, we have had the absolute privilege of watching so many of our lovely children grow, learn and develop, and it has been incredibly special to be part of their journey 💕

Here’s to 19 wonderful years of memories, friendships, laughter and learning — and to many more to come 🐯🎂🎈

🌞 What a Wonderful Last Week Of Holiday Club! 🌞
Monday – Busy Day! 🎨
We had a very creative start to the week! We learned how to make our very own paper pinwheels before getting stuck into some colourful crafting. We then painted pasta jewellery — lots of creativity and plenty of colourful designs!

Tuesday – Harry Potter Day! 🪄⚡
We stepped into the wizarding world for Harry Potter Day! In the morning, we were sorted into our Hogwarts houses before taking part in a variety of exciting competitions to earn house points. We also got creative and designed our very own wizard hats!

Wednesday – Biscuit Day! 🍪
Wednesday was all about biscuits! We started with a blind taste test, trying a range of different biscuits to see if we could guess them correctly. We then designed our dream biscuits and, in the afternoon, brought our designs to life by decorating them!

Thursday – Julia Donaldson Day! 📚
We had a fantastic Julia Donaldson Day. This morning, we made our very own Play-Doh stick families before working together to sequence the stories correctly. We enjoyed reading lots of different Julia Donaldson stories — although Zog was definitely our favourite! 🐉

Friday – End of Summer Party! 🎉
What better way to finish our summer than with an end-of-summer party! We dressed in our best outfits and enjoyed lots of party games, face painting and dancing. And, of course, we squeeze in a little pass the parcel! 🎁💃

What a fun-filled week we have had at Holiday Club 🌻

The children have been getting creative with scratch art pictures and designing their very own pin badges. They also enjoyed designing and making their own paper boats, before putting them to the test to see which ones would float. The excitement continued with a team boat race across the tuff tray! 🚤

In the afternoon, the children became little scientists as they explored objects around the room and made predictions about whether they would sink or float, before testing their ideas.

We also had a fantastic Disney Day! The children enjoyed making their own Mickey Mouse ears and had a delicious Mickey Mouse pizza they made themselves for tea. 🍕🏰

To finish the week, the children have been creating some beautiful and colourful dream catchers. They then enjoyed a relaxing afternoon watching Cinderella together. ✨

It has been a wonderful week full of creativity, teamwork, exploration and lots of fun! We can’t wait to see what next week brings! 💕

🌟 What a fantastic week at Holiday Club! 🌟

The children have had an amazing week packed full of creativity, fun, laughter and plenty of learning! 💚

🌿 Monday – All About Nature 🦋
We started the week by exploring nature! The children designed their own butterflies, cleverly camouflaging them with objects around the room before challenging a member of staff to find them all! 🦋 They also enjoyed tree rubbing, discovering all the different patterns and textures that the trees could create.

🎨 Tuesday – Creative Day
Our creative minds were in full swing as the children made their very own colourful window clings! 🌈✨ It was lovely to see everyone’s individual designs and creativity shine through.

☕ Wednesday – Starbucks Day!
Wednesday was a firm favourite! The children made their own delicious cinnamon swirls to enjoy alongside their Frappuccinos and refreshers. 🥤🥐 They particularly loved the role-play element, placing their orders and watching our fantastic little baristas prepare their drinks!

🥚 Thursday – Egg Adoption Day!
We had a very exciting start to the day with a special ‘gender reveal’ to find out how many eggs each child would be looking after… and some of us even had twins! 👶🥚
The children took their egg-parent responsibilities very seriously! They gave their eggs names and personalities, played games with them, gave them baths and even designed and built beds. The biggest challenge of the day? Making sure those precious eggs didn’t crack! 😄

🧪 Friday – STEM Day!
We finished the week with lots of thinking, problem-solving, designing and engineering! 🧠🔧 The children enjoyed putting their ideas to the test and seeing what they could create.

This week at Holiday Club, the children have had an amazing time taking part in a variety of exciting activities!

Monday – World Records 🌍🏆
We kicked off the week by attempting some fun world record challenges inspired by Tiger’s world records. Everyone enjoyed seeing what they could achieve!

Tuesday – Minecraft Day ⛏️🟩
Our Minecraft-themed day was a huge hit! The children made delicious Rice Krispie grass blocks, painted their own Minecraft blocks, coloured their favourite characters and items from the game, and got creative building magnetic structures.

Wednesday – Messy Play 🎨🫧
A favourite for many! The children explored shaving foam, coloured rice, and lots of other exciting sensory and messy play activities, having plenty of fun while getting creative.

Thursday – All About Me 😊✂️
The children created their own lifestyle cut-outs, expressing their personalities, interests, and what makes them unique through arts and crafts.

Friday – Sports Day 🏁🏅🎽
We ended the week with a fantastic Sports Day! The children competed in teams of Red, Blue, and Yellow in a range of fun races, including:

* Balance ball race
* Bean bag racquet race
* Hoopla race
* Skipping race

What a fantastic week filled with creativity, teamwork, laughter, and fun! We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, and we look forward to seeing you all again soon!

Holiday Club Fun! 🎉

The children have had lots of fun and enjoyed two fantastic weeks at Holiday Club!

Over the past two weeks, they have:

* Made their own Forkys

* Created their very own chocolate bars 🍫

* Designed comic strips and treasure maps for Pirate Day 🏴‍☠️

* Enjoyed rock painting 🎨

* Made their own superhero masks for Superhero Day 🦸‍♀️

* Had lots of fun on Circus Day, creating and performing their own tricks using the sports equipment 🤹
